Same here. He did well, and it was quite a bold change to bring him on I thought. How many loan centre midfielders have we had from u23 clubs recently that haven’t worked out. I bet Callum Guy was the last one that looked like he would fit in.

No but we have had Crookes and Clark who have been regulars in the team.

Picture from behind the goal on Twitter seems to show the ball hitting Bennett's knee. Was the goal given as an OG because of Bennett's low key celebration? Askey said Bennett said he'd scored it. His goal celebrations are quite low key for a modern footballer, I had a look on YouTube when we signed him and quite often he just turns around and wanders back to the halfway line.

Not a bad thing I guess, suggests he wants to get on with it and try and score again maybe..

I like Bennett.. hes mobile but can hold the ball up and has a great touch, the touch before laying off to Worrall to shoot first half was sublime.

The Port Vale of the last two seasons would have lost or drawn that game but Vale are playing more enterprising football and in David Amoo we have a potential match winner as he showed yesterday.

However Cambs had two great chances, the header from Hannant's cross in the first half should have been buried and how Harvey Knibbs (?) header didn't go in I will never know, it was harder to miss than score, I couldn't believe the ball went over the bar. Is vale's luck beginning to change?

Yeah, pick any of the last 3 seasons & we would have been the team missing that header & conceding late to a goal like ours. Something definitely feels different so far, although this month will be a much tougher test than the one we've just gone through.
