Stoke Relegation Thread

Recommended Posts

At any level, even with top level players, it takes time to integrate them into a team. Arsenal have taken their time introducing the likes of Pepe. Askey has taken flak for not bringing signings straight in, as did Rudge at times. Under Aspin we made a lot of changes at the start of last season yet the same players look better after 12 months together. Stoke players look like they barely know one another, which in many cases they don't. Big dilema now for Stoke, carry on and keep stability or twist and bring in another half dozen players a new manager fancies at Christmas.

I say keep stability,Nathan is the man for the job.His win record of 3 in 27 proves it.

This Stoke side looks bad on paper and are obviously even worse on grass. To me it’s no surprise the Prize Bully’s are struggling as, possibly Ince apart, I don’t see a decent player. They even have James McClean for heavens sake !

There also clearly seems a rift between manager and players, so put these factors together and another relegation campaign is on the cards 🙏🏻

Birmingham despite their decent start will be a relegation candidate this season. Yesterday’s game was a good judge for how Stoke will do this season and it looks like a relegation battle for them.

Should never have lost Rowett. They think they're much bigger than they are. Rowett was slowly getting them back to an average championship team and could have got them fighting for promotion in a few years. Nathan Jones is average at best. Needs his own squad and everyone to be on his terms.

On the surface, it looked like Nathan Jones had done a "great job" during his time at Luton. Promotion from L2, a team that scores bags of goals and then took to L1 football easily (before finishing the promotion job after he left).

However.

When you look at the financials for the season Luton got promoted from L2, they spent £1m (ONE MILLION) in transfer fees and had an AVERAGE wage of £3k per week! Crazy numbers for our league!

Take any L2 team and spend that kind of money and you could have Jim Gannon in charge and achieve success!

Shame they don't play Luton for a few months, would have been hilarious to see Jones' side get beaten by a mediocre Championship team he helped assemble. Unfortunately, chances are he won't be there by the time Stoke do play them.

Just read Jones’ views on Stoke’s season so far and he thinks they’re doing ok. This section of his thoughts attracted my attention.

”It’s just ;

1) we’re not taking our chances and scoring one more than our opponents and

2) we’re not able to keep a clean sheet at the moment”

But other than that not doing too bad then obviously Nathan !

Nathan Jones - specialist subject - stating the bleedin’ obvious !

I think RR most Vale fans would agree with him, in fact I would go one step further and say he is doing a great job.

This is a club that has had multiple 200+ page Vale relegation threads on there and were singing "shoot the Vale scum" seconds before Birmingham scored the second...but remember, they definitely don't care about us.

Vale. Living rent free in shlt fans heads since 1876.

We won't go up.

Not this season, this is a season of Chemo to de-Norm the club. But,

At least we mainly keep to football as the topic, whereas their garbage is personal

Fixed that for you.

No wonder I'm paying so much <ovf censored> national insurance with the net drain on society those Troglodytes are.

Gormless, mouth breathing amoeba-like cattle, shuffling around Hanley with their red and white tops perilously stretched over their porcine, bin-bag full of custard like bodies, grazing from a Greggs paper bag with teeth as golden yellow as the sauage roll pastry they're chewing on open-mouthed, on their weekly shuffle to the Job Centre to sign on before popping into Poundstretcher to spend Doha's redistributed DWP money on value grain Vodka, frozen horseburgers and diabetes sweets for their feral offspring.

I ******* hate Stoke fans, me.

Each and every one.

Urchins.

p.s. Werrington is a helmet.

Thanks Doha for rekindling those magic moments.

Firstly, that shocking “challenge” on Aspin from Foley is the worst I’ve ever seen live. People still talk about that game, but little is ever said about that horrendous “tackle”. It should NEVER be forgotten.

But that Regis incident on 65 mins has now almost worn away on my video of the game ! Even more so than the Sharon Stone crossing her legs scene in whatever film that was. Two useless cnuts together me thinks !

Also I echo your concise & considered views of the Prize Bully’s !  Am I right in thinking that they’re not on your Xmas card list ? lol
