Went to stoke station last night going passed the Stade de  Incinerator( Theatre of Garbage) at 7.15pm. Peak time traffic wise with Sjoke  at home ,  nothing. It was like Dollys  Lane when the Vale are away. The commentators on the radio were estimating 11,000.  I am sure now Sjoke are promotion contenders again there will be more fans there on Saturday, hopefully to witness a convincing Reading win .

When I saw the official attendance last night I thought it must have been calculated by Conservative Central Office.

I imagine Stoke will limp home safe, which MON will be lauded for.

Whilst relegation to League 1 would be funny, often it serves as a catalyst for shambolic clubs to put their house in order (Southampton, Norwich, Leicester).

Our best hope is Stoke never sort out their finances and settle into a Reading-esque existence; a pointless, meandering existence in the lower depths of the Championship, wasting their time in a soulless bowl miles from the nearest public house, throwing money at their deep-rooted problems and haemorraghing fans as they fail to understand why they can't recapture their glory decade.
