Maybe Carol and Kevin should have rang around a few OVFers to check if they wanted a ticket and if so dropped them off at there house for them so the precious souls dont have to queue up with everyone else.

There are people who have to work so my main issue with the ticket office is that you couldn't get through on the phone. There wasn't even an engaged tone it just rang out.

Season tickets needed to be collected before today’s match.Salford tickets could have been put on sale after today ‘s game, starting this evening or Monday morning.Individuals have to sign onto tills to avoid the obvious. Those staff working in the shop probably don’t have access to ticket office tills. The object who abused the worker should be banned from getting another ticket.Moan, moan,,******* moan.New era?Are you sure?

Tickets were being sold to ST holders on a first come first served basis.  Enough people turned up in person, they didnt need to answer the phones.  It's better to ignore the phone than to tell 50 people who have queued for 90 minutes that the tickets have all been sold to folk who haven't (for whatever reason) queued up.

If you couldn't turn up, that's just life isn't it.  Just because somebody cant get because of work doesnt give them the right to get tickets over somebody who made the appropriate arrangements to be there, unless of course you are thinking that the 1400 folk who managed to organise getting tickets are all retired or unemployed?

To just add a few words to the above excellent reply ........  Those who do work could get some of their friends to queue for them .... Vale fans have been doing sharing things like this for donkey years .    1400 got tickets how else could the Vale have done more ?  Perhaps they should have said that the Tickets go on Sale After todays Match for Season Ticket Holders who Purchase a seat on the Club Coaches, On Sunday it would be for Season Ticket Holders and then from Monday onwards any bugger ...... Oh hang on Jeff the Vale Vicar would moan as he has to go church on Sunday.   In all seriousness why doesn't one of the whiners who moan about the ticket distribution start a separate thread called Vale Buddies or something and get a list of people who have difficulty getting tickets for what ever reason and get a list of folk who are able to queue up for them and get tickets ...... In short those that made the effort have got their tickets.                                                                   PS..   A heads up ....... Crewe Tickets will be a similar situation so start thinking what YOU will do now

That’s a valid point Nofinikea I totally agree that it would have been unfair to give priority to telephone sales over someone who has queued for over an hour. However, if this was the case then maybe it was misleading for the official site  to announce that tickets could be reserved by phone. I therefore didn’t book time off work to go and queue for tickets assuming I could ring. My own silly fault 🙈 hope everyone who managed to get tickets has an amazing afternoon and we bring home 3 points 👍🏼

As I posted before, Salford are to blame for a lot of the problem here for not releasing tickets earlier, had they done so, Vale could have had a sale period that included a Saturday for those that work full time.

however with 4200 st holders and 1420 tickets up for grabs, there was always going to be some dissapointed.

the only thing they could have possibly done different is allowing st holders who go to all or most of the away games to have first dibs instead of those who will only go to the likes of Salford, Crewe and Macc. Then again with Salford being so late in releasing tickets there probably wasn’t time to implement this.

Should not be too difficult to track away ticket purchasers in this computer age, STs are already on a data base, if not an ST create an away follower fan base too, easy enough to create a priority list. Some may object to Big Brother but otherwise regular away followers at a disadvantage. Build a system for the future when it would otherwise be a regular problem..

Hi Auss, League clubs will have segregated areas reserved for away fans, away clubs arrange a quantity of tickets in advance based on likely demand with sale on the day at the ground also. High demand usually means all-ticket in advance, sometimes at police request. Terms of sale or return can be contentious. Extra areas for cup games likely to be restricted by larger numbers of ST than in the past especially in the Prem. Salford ill-prepared since segregation not required in National league.

When you buy away tickets from the ticket office they take your name and address so easy to see who regularly go to away games.

So would be quite easy to set up a priority system, how many away trips for a non-ST to rank as a ST, how many to rank above a ST with no previous away trips. Do you carry the ranks from season to season. Surely a comparison with a few other clubs would come up with a system. Maybe it is in hand?

This is just getting bloody silly.  We will have 2 away games this season where we sell out, 2!  Do you really expect the club to put time and resources into sorting a system for 2 games?  Dont you think there are other things to be getting on with?

So some folk didnt get a ticket.  I wouldn't mind betting that pretty much everyone who went to Colchester that wanted a ticket for Salford, got one.

Go and sit in the home end and keep your mouths shut if you desperately dont want to miss Vale at the mighty Salford City...

Doesn't have to be done this week, think of us as a growing club wanting to keep everyone happy, tickets on line without the need to queue.
