More about Alex Hurst from the BPA side.

Apparently used be in the Crewe Academy. He then started last season at Matlock Town then was snapped up by Bradford PA, and now us. A very versatile player, small and technical. That's all I could find out

Accrington Stanley have signed Wilson Carvalho, one of the development squad lads from 2013. Was actually a Portuguese lad from the Micky Adams era!

One of the most low-keyarrivals I can remember - seemed to have slipped under most people's radar? Pleased with this transfer...we have paid a fee, for one thing, and signed him on a 2-year deal; and for BPA to say they "naturally want to keep their best players" hints at his potential. Letting him stay with BPA until at least January - well, sometimes, the selling club sets the agenda! If it strengthens him, and gets him match fit he could be joining up with us at a crucial time of the season, and give us something different to what we've already had?

Well BPA only lost by 5 at the weekend so I’ve doubts over their standards

I too wish him well. He hasn't had the easiest of years and seems to have knuckled down in pre-season and found his form again. All the very best to him.

Thought he was good back up, especially as askey seemed pleased with him pre season. Good move for him and a decent signing for non league. We need to sign a centre back now.

Desperately need a bit of a bruiser to cover injury/lack of form if Legge gets injured. Not sure Kennedy is that type of defender. Not sure whose out there and free this late in the window.

Maintain the fact Aspin hung him out to dry at right back.
