Just to possibly put a few minds to rest Leeds have an allocation of 1400 but that maybe because it's a Cup game

They only charge a tenner too so we'll definitely sell out

Capacity about 5000, Vale would be limited to the away end, but Leeds could have been given both ends.

Exactly my point, I’ve bought tickets from the club ticket office for every away game for the past 4 seasons, and as I say, they always ask my name and address all they need to do is save that info, job done.

True and I know they save the details because I moved house over the summer and have updated them.

They must know about previous purchases. In the past I tried to get tickets for the sold out Bournemouth away trip back in 2010 or so.

I could only get tickets as I had a previous booking history.

As for away loyalty...well generally encouraging that means in some cases many won’t go to home games...ever.

That’s a bad idea, especially as away loyalty in ticket buying terms gives the club nothing except a tiny admin fee.

I don't understand how a loyalty scheme for away supporters will discourage fans from going home games. All we are talking about is a system that gives priority to the long suffering who travel the length and breadth of the country regularly in the vain hope of a draw here and there. TBH we only have one or two games a season where getting a ticket is an issue but I do think for instance that the hopeful travelling to Colchester Saturday should be given priority for a ticket to Salford.

I suspect we'll be given more than 900 for Salford. Leeds have been given 1400 and there will be many Salford "fans" who view watching Leeds as a more attractive proposition than watching Vale. I can't think why.

Maybe easier  giving them both ends to keep them out of the home areas?

So because I'm on holiday and unable to go the opening game whether it was home or away I'm now on the naughty step for Salford ?

Cheers

I hope that the expertise at Synectics will allow us to implement a loyalty scheme before long.  Not everything can be done at once though.

Let's be honest this is a total one off because of the perceived allocation of tickets. Last season we struggled or indeed may not of sold out Crewe and Macc .

Not sure myself if a loyalty scheme is needed. All 4000 season ticket holders won't be after tickets for away games.

Salford is a complete one off, new ground for everybody and let's be honest this is highly unlikely to rear it's head for any other game.

Say a miracle happens, Plymouth probably could allocate a few thousand ( yes I'm dreaming ) , so I personally think bar one game in 23 we are going to have ample opportunity to get a ticket
