I agree Pete, my dad, his family, my grandad, its in the blood, I just hope we do something to get future generations into the club and make them as proud of our club as we are. 👌

 

Yes Marge, hopefully now the emphasis will be first and foremost focussed around the fans.

Get back the 2,000 who've left and encourage many more younger supporters into the club. It really can't and won't be any worse!! It is in the blood - good and bad

Congratulations and thanks for essentially saving this club.

 

All we can hope for is that the club now runs in a transparent and honest manner, which I’m sure it will. Let’s hope they can attract support from other local businesses in terms of sponsorships and maximise funds by signing a popular kit supplier deal for the shop.

 

Although I can’t buy STs, Smurthwaites departure now means me and my family members will return to as many games as we can and resume shop purchases.

 

I just hope that the new owners don’t try and appease the fans too much.

I really can't think of the words to express how I've felt today. Simply, for the first time in what seems like years, I actually am looking forward to a new season.

I'm not expecting miracles, Rome wasn't built in a day and I said when we were relegated that it may take us 5 years to return to League one (and that was assuming Norman left when we were relegated.

But hopefully if the fans back Carol and Kevin and we recruit carefully then we should certainly finish higher up the league this year and who knows where we can go.

 

Thanks to you both from the bottom of my heart, you've gone out on a limb to salvage 'our' club from oblivion and I will spend every available penny to assist, it won't be thousands but if thousands do likewise it should all help the cause......Up The Vale.

Perhaps we won't ever know the full story but I must say it has been remarkably easy to bring in new owners of the club. It might just be that Norman was happy with the profit he was offered but 6 months ago I thought the only way out of this was admin.

 

Thank heavens its not. I may not be in the country next season but I will fulfil my pledge of buying home and away kits upon release. I'm also happy to build the club shop a new, modern website for cost which I offered to Norman but he chose against it.

Anyone with any doubts should listen to that interview and all doubts will be dispelled. Absolutely brilliant.

 

Yes it was a real pleasure listening to them and really lifted my spirits. What a refreshing change from the kind of crap we had from our 2 previous owners. Everything they spoke about was heartfelt and i am convinced we can only go upwards, not only on the field but in all areas off the field too.

Watching that first interview with Carol and Kevin brings a lump to ya throat and tears to your eyes,great people legs get behind them 100%..

 

I don't see how people can't with such open honesty and integrity as shown in that video. Let us all do our part to make these hopes and aspirations come to fruition!

I will renew our season tickets as soon as I can. I am ambitious for steady realistic progress in the league next season through sensible management. It is not a huge step to challenge in the top half with a settled squad of well trained, reasonably talented and committed players.

Went into the Ticket Office this afternoon and paid for two season tickets. I hope everyone else who can afford to do so does the same. Great day.
