Kevin & Carol Buy the 'Vale; Update on July's Supporters Club Meeting

We met Carol and Kevin on the steps into the stand at Exeter. They took time to talk with us,they spoke common sense and made us feel valued. Those few weeks since have felt like an eternity but our hopes have come to pass. Thank you both for your commitment to seeing this through,heaven knows what it must be like having to deal with an impossible person like " he who shall not be named". I never really commented on the Smurthwaite business, probably through sheer apathy.

 

Even when it was said a deal was in principal agreed i felt he had one more joker up his sleeve.

 

Incredibly he didn't so he does deserve some credit i guess for just carting off.

 

To those of you involved in the protests and the organisers etc you have proved that fan power is stronger than one greedy individual.

It’s a shame that they have had to pay so much for a struggling Div 2 club and his incompetency to get rid of him.His incompetency has been rewarded.

His 2.4 million loans included the 1.25 million he paid for it and the 500k to pay off Wilde’s.

But thank god he has finally rode off into the sunset.

Wonder if he has taken his harem with him?

Encouraged to hear that they've had their facilities team inside Vale Park already drawing up a list of work.

Having just watched the video on the official Vale website, I am filled with optimism and hope. Well done Carol & Kevin and congratulations also to Colin Garlick for all the work he's put into the takeover.

I am so impressed by the openness, honesty and humility displayed by Carol & Kevin--they are clearly 'of the people, for the people' and I thank them from the bottom of my heart for buying the club and promising to put it back where it belongs....with the fans. Well done guys and thank you again!
