When we can get better value and other benefits elsewhere.

These trade figures surely prove that there are alternatives to the EU. It also shows that trade wont suddenly stop with the EU when we leave even if we don't have a deal. It just means that it is marginally more expensive for us and them to buy from each other.

If a significant portion of our trade already comes from countries where we do not have a trade deal in place, what is there to be scared of?

Cliff edge = project fear. Pure and simple. There's no facts to back it up, no logic to back it up, no common sense to back it up.

There's things called Tariffs, quotas, standards, regulations, taxes and mega amounts of admin to be considered that will make international trade a lot more difficult in a no deal Brexit, the UK is sheltered from much of this stuff within the EU.

And the other side of the coin is that we are also sheltered from better value deals?

95% of UK businesses do zero trade with the EU but are subject to the strict and substanstial EU regulations.

Polls lol.

So polls are inaccurate?....... polls that suggest remain is in front are inaccurate?...... or is it that polls that agree with your view are fact others are crap?

I think all polls are crap..... just suggested indication of what might be.

I think we all pay some attention to the polls and all the main parties conduct private polling all the time, to assess the lie of the land.

It would be surprising if a new PM did not get a bit of a bounce. They always do.

Do you have to forensically dissect even the most throwaway posts?!

I don't take any great notice of polls, particularly regarding voting intentions, particularly with all the currency uncertainty.

You absolutely loved the poll that said Conservatives would rather see brexit even if it meant breaking up their own party (or might have been if it meant scotland leaves or something)

You posted that over and over and over.

I see this thread has now turned into a Brexiteers, "Look, there will be unicorns" rubbish again.

Spare the platitudes. I'm fed up with the remainers "Look, we already have access to the unicorns" rubbish, AGAIN.

And when it is proved that unicorns don't exist, those who argued to remain will get blamed for not believing hard enough in unicorns.

I guess we'll find out if one of you actually post any evidence for once?

Exactly, they have plenty of made up reasons why we should LEAVE but no one has given any reasons why we should STAY.

We know for a fact that the EU is not open to reform so the whole "lets reform from within" line has been dropped like its hot now.

For once I'd like to see a remainer actually say "Yes I understand that the MAJORITY of this country has legitimate concerns over XYZ" but it's like a cult, they act like they're all Corbyn and they can't be seen to be backsliding at all otherwise they've lost everything.

And then to pretend that the evidence is on their side yet they actively laugh at me for asking for evidence?

Crazy crazy stuff.

Who's using racism as a weapon?

Make your own mind up?

Leftie Canary editor Kerry-Anne Mendoza on Twitter "Someone from a minority group who chooses to serve in a far-right government is no longer a person of colour. They are a turncoat of colour. It's one thing to opt out of fighting oppression, quite another to legitimise it with your own skin".

Leftie Ash Sarkar of Novara Media on Twitter "The ascendance of Priti Patel and Sajid Javid to positions of power is only a sign of progress if you see tokenism itself as progressive".

And finally, Shadow Treasury Minister Clive Lewis MP on Twitter with a message to James Cleverly MP "Genuine congratulations James.I mean it.I'm just sorry you & the other black members of that cabinet had to sell your souls & self-respect to get there. You serve under a racist PM and sit next to a minister for equalities previously fired for the #Windrush scandal"

Polls stating current views are a completely different beast to those which seek to predict or suggest the outcome of a nationwide vote at some unspecified point in the future. If there was a poll suggesting what would happen if there was another referendum, I'd be 'polls schmolls' but if there was one stating that an overwhelming majority of leave voters were self-confessed chronic masturbators or that most remain voters were smug and supercilious, I wouldn't have much of a problem with that.
