Winger had a bit about him. Didn't see much of the right back as I was at the other end. The keeper had nothing about him at all. Zero presence.

That was the name, I have known him for years at Vale games and he used to work with my father, but I didn't know he had died, RIP.

Thought the traialist Rhys Browne looked exciting. 

Mark Cullen had a few great touches and was in the right place his goal. 

Kennedy fitted in well at the back and I was impressed with Ryan Lloyd. 

Overall an enjoyable afternoon at Kidsgrove....

Browne was a decent player for Yeovil 2 years ago. Last season he picked up a couple of injuries, I think he got a bit of a horror tackle against, maybe, Morecombe and was lucky he didn't get a broken leg. Yeovil are another club in big financial trouble and released all their out of contract players. Yeovil paid money to sign him so he's shown quality at times in his career. Cullen is a very good player If he's over his injury problems.

Montano is a real problem because you can't bank on more than 20 games from him. Maybe an opportunity for Whitfield to nail down a place? Still feel centre midfield is low on options and we need to have 4 forwards on the books who can play in the middle, currently only really Pope, Bennett and Cullen.

One thing from yesterday is I would guess Ben Whitfield is no where near finding another club... he ran around like a man trying to impress and soldiered on after a nasty knee knock. 

Not the actions of a man who is close to signing a contract elsewhere.
