Thanks Nick,

Ah! The days when all the adventure series had a theme tune and lyrics, where our heroes and heroines lived rough without picking up as much as a smudge of poo on their clothes, and where our clean shaven heroes fought the ugliest of fights without putting a hair out of place.

Oh, and audience participation...'Behind you, he's behind you' 😀

Greene was only 66 when he died. He made about 150 episodes of Robin Hood and for many of us he was Robin Hood, though for the older generation on here Errol Flynn is your man.

Roger Moore's career began with him playing Ivanhoe (58-59) at the same time that Robin Hood was on. But it was the Saint (62-69) that really launched his career into orbit. He lived near Crewe for a while.

He also lived on the penkridge road going towards Cannock.

There was a Colliseum in Burslem, with courting or double seats upstairs.

There were 3 cinemas in Burslem I think during the 50's.  There was the Colliseum and the Gaumont and, although I can't remember its name, one other?
