The Sentinel stated earlier today that "Coming up, we also have news of a sponsorship with a major local company...." Any ideas?

Autonet I guess who've agreed a stand sponsorship and a box according to their owner on Twitter.

I can understand people making the link but why would the Shanahans want to do that? Surely it would make sense for them to try and get as much money from outside the club rather than them chucking a load more in? It's not like we can do a Man City with it.

Just think about the lardies over on the dark side. Both the stadium and their shirts sponsored by the owners

Good to see another big local company getting on board, as he to be fair suggested he would when Carol was after the club.

Money into the club and shows what can be done with the right structure in place!

In terms of the shirt have Manor definitely not renewed? Doubt Synectics would be the sponsor for the reasons mentioned, the only reason you’d likely do that is to potentially get around the pay restrictions in the EFL as I believe you can pump money in as a huge sponsorship deal as part of your budget to allow a bigger wage budget with the EFL.

FGR for instance are sponsored by Ecotricity who is their owners company so some clubs do have their owners sponsor their kits but unless Kevin and Carol were looking to rocket the budget which would be careless then it would be a pointless thing to do.

I agree, Carol and Kevin paid £5.8m for the club so doubt they'd want to put any other cash in!

Seems a lot of people guessed wrongly, but surely they could charge themselves whatever they liked to put their name on the shirt. They paid millions for the club so what's to stop them charging themselves £1 for the shirt  deal? Not saying they did, but they could if they wanted.

They do not need to pay £1,  if that was to Port Vale`s advantage.
