Pretty woeful set of fixtures.

Yeah but that's League Two for you.

 

As Basil Fawlty once said, "What you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window?"

 

The order in which they've come out of the hat is a bit pants as well.

 

Potentially a very tough start, you can't see us getting too much out of the first few games unless we actually manage to add some goals to the side during the summer. So hopefully it will focus a few minds as to what is needed in the transfer market to be competitive against those sort of teams.

Really poor set of fixtures there. Always enjoy a weekend in Sidmouth and Exeter is midweek. Morecambe away is always a good trip and on Jan 4th with the prospect of a postponement due to weather or FA cup. 2 long trips first and last game.

 

Looking forward to the season, just wish the fixtures had some balance to them.

Colchester away is tough, real threat to our ridiculous unbeaten record on the opening league day going back to 2004.

 

Plymouth away isnt ideal if we need to get a result.

 

Salford early on may be a plus as we get them before they settle and the window closes.

 

They are a crap set of fixtures but whilst in this league they always will be I guess.

Someone told me the Red Lion is being painted and will reopen soon. Never the best pub in Burslem but would be good if it was open for the Northampton game.

I could never understand why it didn't do well as a tourist venue with its Robbie connection.
