Despite Dale’s claims to have sold the club, I feel there are more twists and turns ahead.

The new “owners” have still not completed the deal and appealed to the EFL for more time so as they can “continue to explore the prospects for a purchase”

Hardly sounds like a deal has been done to me.

Exactly , "new owners" supposed to have been talking with everyone and EFL  for 10 WEEKS , and they need more time. Why would Dale appeal for fans donations, if a deal was imminent ? ????

Don’t think they’ve got that long, the final deadline is 5pm Tuesday .

the EFL have a lot to answer for, how can they let a guy who failed the fit and proper test take control of the club.

Even Smurthwaite passed the test so this Bury guy must be really bad.

Bury takeover collapsed after due diligence from the new buyers on the debts it seems.

Expected to be kicked out the EFL in the next hour barring a miracle.

What happens if an interested party makes an offer now would they grant them another few days to get all paperwork done? Then what happens if that collapses would they keep going untill it’s finally sorted?

I can’t see them chucking them out. I think they’ll keep giving them more time.

Dont think giving them time will help, the new owners statement basically says they discovered too many financial strings which made it prohibitive, i.e. mortgages on mortgages etc.

Essentially as sad as it is I think its too far gone to recover this one.

Incredibly sad for the supporters it doesn't bear thinking about.

However they have been the architect of their own downfall. Look at the money they paid Pope for starters.

Jermaine Beckford Leon Clarke Tom Soares James Vaughan etc etc .

How on Earth did they fund those sort of players on 3500 gates. It didn't add up did it. If Bradford or Plymouth did it at least they have the gates, Bury have probably ranged from 2500 to 4000 with the odd big crowd thrown in.

It's a very sad day for football, but maybe a lesson for all clubs here

And that cretin Dale is bleating about the Bury fans being nasty to him.  He's lucky they haven't strung him up from a lamp post in Gigg Lane.

ST holders etc should go to his house and make sure that they get their ST money back (or equivalent)

Exactly, the world and his dog knew that Bury's business model was doomed to failure,it was talked about many times and yet the EFL turned a blind eye to their budgets saying it was not their responsibility to interfere with individual owners business'

The current CEO a woman whose name escapes me looks and sounds hopelessly out of touch.
