The manager

I think deep down its starting to annoy fans,i know he still has a contract until june the first but what is the delay,he wants stay, kevin and carol want him to stay,is it down to money? length of deal? who knows. What we do know is that we wont get any players signed up when in theory we haven't got a manager...…….frustrating

And this is the point! Instead of riding on the feel good wave, giving the indication things are going right on track, fans are now starting to get annoyed. So if/when it's announced, it won't be a 'happy days' story, but get the 'finally' or even worse if he doesn't sign treatment.

Of course we shouldn't pay him stupid money, but this absolute lack of news "things are going well" stuff. We've heard it 1000 times before, just for it to go **** up.

Football fans are so inpatient

hmmm...Vale fans are so impatient!!! It's comments like these that brought about the "sweetie jar" responses from Smurf which so mahy of you thought were patronising...but served you right - you were doing the equivalent of "are we there yet..." and doing it, now! Patience isn't just a card game!

To be fair, two weeks is a long time to be negotiating a key appointment!

Until we have a manger, the squad build up is at a complete standstill!

Unless you want to ring Smurthwait, and let him do the signings like in Jan? On a consulent basis perhaps?

Askey said he wanted to stay and blablabla but have been dragging negotiations on, in what seems like forever now.

We’ve had almost a decade of being fed absolute b...s... so excuse me, for being a bit impatient, over something both parties made out to be nothing more than dotting the i’s.

What are you going on about? It’s completely different to Jan and Askey will have targets in mind ready to bring in. Just chill, enjoy the summer and stop worrying about things you can’t change.

Are you having a laugh? Your first sentence is beyond belief.

I have never known a season in recent history when Bolton or Notts County have not had bigger budgets than us. Under Smurfwaite they would still generate more funds, although County would probably cut back being in the conference.

Smurf would probably pocket more of the cash, but that’s a different story.

But in recent times they’ve not been in the same amount of debt as now. I assume Vale are now debt free, the new owners purchase price covering the directors loans owing to the previous owner.

You’re right about your last point though.

Stop ****** moaning god sake

Does seem strange that even after Tuesday night Garlick saying it was going well no announcement has been made.

Being Askey,s dream job you would have thought it was already a done deal and Askey saying he was looking forward to be working for the new owners.
