When Carol alluded to her inadvertently dropping a big hint about the next kit manufacturer, what was she talking about?

I wondered if they'd make any announcement about bringing back cash at the turnstiles but didn't catch it if they did. Good.

I really liked what they had to say about putting the hub at the heart of the community, using the kitchens to feed the hungry etc.

I think we should all be delighted with what we've seen to date at the Club.

Like a breath of fresh air.

I renewed my season ticket this morning and was treated in a friendly and professional manner by the young fella on the desk. He tells me that they've being doing ok with tickets to date and that several new ones have been issued, not just those renewing, which sounds very encouraging.

A bit late for the fan's forum but I'd like to raise the idea of bringing the old badge back.

I know technically the new one is the old one, but I just don't think it looks very good. The badge we had through the 90s and 00s is the Vale badge for me.

It was Smurthwaite who changed it, could be a bit of a statement to change it back.

Agree, said the same on here a few months ago.

Too late for next season, kits are already sorted etc but I'd definitely be keen to see a poll about reverting/maintaining/designing a new one altogether for the future.

Not a fan of new badges in general. A lot of them seem to use the plastic wrap tool on photoshop and end up very shiny. All basically the same, an oval with a foundation date at the bottom. Just very Americanised for me and soulless. Forest Green, Oldham, Morecambe, all crap. Same for Man City's new one. The eagle badge they had previously was genuinely quite cool.

Given BLK did rugby kits I was hoping for good high quality stuff, thick high gsm material, I've got rugby shirts that are several mm thick. We got cheap crap. Cheap to manufacture, not purchase.

I can't wait to see the back of them. And purple.

Worst ever has to go to Sondico thought I reckon. I had two Sondico vale shirts framed yesterday, both from the 12/13 promotion season, I'll be impressed if the guy can get them folded up without crumbling to dust. Nasty, cheap crap.

No more please Carol. Ta.

Fairly certain if you dig up forums from when the new badge was issued, people applauded the move and praised Smurf for modernizing the club.

Those who liked the old badge saw little praise.

Very encouraging meeting last night and it’s clear that the new owners are Vale fans to the core, which can only be a good thing. The only thing that concerns me slightly is if fans try to sway opinions too much with ridiculous and irrelevant suggestions ie.. markets and commemorative Carol mugs! For the club to move forward, so do some of the fans. Just let the new owners get on with developing a stable and honest club, with a competitive team and the rest will take care of itself.

Thanks again for rescuing the club from the venomous and incompetent claws of the previous owner.

Rugby shirts will be manufactured to a different spec, football shirts are probably be much lighter by design.

I read somewhere (I think it was on a St Johnstone forum) that the company in the North East who were licensed by BLK no longer have the licence.

Some of their gear looked awful, especially as the season wore on. I saw a player walking out of the ground a while back in his tracksuit and the badge had fell off completely.
