Hi RSB,

 

1. I\\\'ve sent you a PM - did you get it?

2. The Quantcast pop-up is related to the log-in issue. Let me explain...

 

You should be logged on and your cookie remembered if you tick the box. The first time you log on you will get the pop-up (I have to have it due to new GDPR regulations) and then it should not appear again. But because the site is not saving your cookie for some reason, you are not being saved as logged in and so you are also getting the pop-up multiple times.

 

As I mentioned, I am looking into it but it\\\'s not simple. My guess is that there is a https link which is incorrectly down as http but i have literally thousands of line of code to look through to try and find it. I am trying but it\\\'s a hard job.

Have you noticed a backslash (\\) appearing in the text every time a single quotation mark (\') is used?

 

Edit: looks like it's not only the quotation mark, it's several non alphabetical symbols.

Ah - that "unsecured" note is interesting - make sure you go to https://www.onevalefan.co.uk/forums - try using that URL.

Groan, I thought I'd fixed it on Saturday after a few hours. Looks like I was wrong. Bear with me and I will try and fix...

 

1. The missing quote issue

2. The special characters in quotes issue

3. The not staying logged in issue

I think I have a solution for the missing user quotes on mobile - but may be tomorrow for that one.

Folks, problem with quotes on mobile should be sorted again. You may need to log out and in again.

 

Can you all do me a favour...

 

I had to get rid of a load of code to get it to work and I will need to add it back. It's things like tracking code, addons and mods. I am not sure what is causing the disappearance but I am going to add it back one at a time to try and find out.

 

As I do can you help me...

 

Can you please let me know if it disappears again on this thread ASAP.

 

That will help me isolate the code causing this issue.

Is anyone else seeing "This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote" on quoted messages, with the actual quote underneath? I only noticed this starting today.

Vanta - ignore that one, I switched something off just now and once I switch it back on that message should go away.
