Do you really want an improved team?

We need better players than Vassell who are not good enough to be in the squad.

You will be saying you are happy for Askey to sign Ryan Lloyd next.

People are comparing Ryan Lloyd to Joe Davis but Ryan has played over 100 games since he left us whereas Joe Davis has played less than 30. Harsh to judge Ryan on his 2 starts for Vale.

Do you personally know Dan Turner and Ryan Lloyd, or their families? (or maybe their old youth team coaches?)

Just wondering why you've constantly gone on and on about such extremely mediocre (/poor) players, who will not make anything like the required impact to improve us, and would not get signed up by any other club in the Football League. (.....Lloyd signed his 2 year Macclesfield contract while they were still in the Conference).

I will trust the management team to bring in player that he feels he can work with and blend into a successful team, as I've said many times supporters need to change there mindset and drop the negativity, positively breeds confidence and confidence wins games, we will not win all our games but hoppfully steady progress, only if we stick together as unit supporter player management team owners will we have the success we all desire, we all go to watch football urging Vale on to win, sometimes the opposition get it right on the day, that's football, but we have to stay positive and urge our team on, we all have different options on the direction we should take, but with the same goal a successful Vale keep believing

To do that you would have had to pay a lot of players contracts up. That would have left next to nothing to go and get new players in.

No, you don't have to. Lots of contracted players in football have forgone their contract and moved on after being the subtle nod that they won't feature at all if they stay.

And you know that Ryan Lloyd is mediocre how? Do you not trust John Askey to judge a player he coached for a season?

No I don’t trust Askey especially if he signs Ryan Lloyd.

He could not get a place in a struggling Macclesfield team.

Saw him at Macc and he was dire In a game you would have thought he would be up for playing against his old club.

Still can’t tackle and stands around catching flies.Hasnt improved since he left the Vale.

National league is his level where he has played most of his games.

We need a small squad of experienced players who can improve the team not no hopers like Lloyd.

Micky Adams put the whole team on the transfer list to prove a point. It shows to other clubs that they are available and someone may take a gamble like we did with Miller.Dont see why Rawlinson shouldn’t be moved on.

He isn’t a long servant of the club and could be useful to a club in the National League. He has been fit enough to warm the bench.

Depends on the stage of a players career. At this level to rip up your own contract is not an option - these boys aren't earning masses of money. The more likely way to make a move is if a club is prepared to take on the current contract with possibly a few tweaks to the t&c's.

OK....just clueless then!

People mocked me when I said Theo Robinson was a good striker, 11 goals this season, four in League one and 7 for Swindon after the January window. Remind me how many our strikers scored since January? No disrespect to Tom, he is a good striker despite some peoples opinion on here, but what about the others?

Ernie how can you not trust Askey?

Surely he has done enough with the team over the past 4 months transforming the performances of Worrall,Conlon,Joyce to name few. Plus he has changed the football style to be more entertaining.

Askey knows how he wants to play and will find the best players available to do so.

I can't imagine for 1 minute if Lloyd signed he would be a 1st team regular but would make the core of the squad. He would at least provide cover in several positions on the pitch. Think to last season when Joyce was out of form,Manny injured,Colon struggling who else could we bring in..Kaye,Pugh,Tongue. A cheap option to fill a gap and a player he could trust. Don't see a problem with that.

I'm 100% certain the squad next year will be much better and smaller because 1/ The manager has talked about since he came in in Feb and 2/The new owners aren't going to keep trying to sign gambles.

...so glad about Hannant the guy was useless.. maybe Bolton will sign him now...

commentslike this one...and the absolute feckwit who said (something like)..."it doesn't matter that Hannant is top of the assists - he's still useless" just show a total lack of respect and football knowledge! If a player scores 3 and has 10 assists, in a team that only scored 50-odd goals all season, across all competitions, then his contribution is to have a hand in approximately 1/4 of the goals...how is that useless? Not going to advocate keeping him - whoever drew up the retained list will have to stand by their decision - I just think a little respect and some honesty is called for to a player who was far from useless...as the stats show!
