Erniemossrules....probably because we've spent the money on Cullen,Bennett and Amoo.....so which one would you personally

not sign inorder to sign old man Foley and wouldn't that result in a loss of goals in the team ?

Actually quite happy with Askey's work this summer and get Madison/Browne/Hurst signed and were done ready for the season.

Won’t name him but everybody knows who would be top of my list to not sign.

No Erniemossrules the question asked you which of Cullen,Bennett or Amoo would you not sign in order to sign old man Foley

which would result in a loss of goals....Lloyd is not an either/or being on a low wage so pick which high earner to cover the

Foley wage.

Don't get the vendetta against Lloyd who after all is as they say "one of our own" being a product of the Port Vale youth system

and most remember Lloyd as a talented left winger with a sweet left foot who was scouted by Arsenal amongst others who left and played for Chester and Macc finding a new role as a hardworking midfielder.....Lloyd is now 25 has filled out and has

won promotion so is a winner and seemingly someone who Askey both rates and trusts....for many Lloyd has a clean slate and

unlike many U23 players has gone out and played games and deserves a chance....while probably not a first team regular Lloyd

is versatile and over the season could be a key squad player.

If the budget was used wisely we would have signed Foley as well as those players.

Quality not quantity.

Erniemossrules final time pick one of Cullen/Bennett/Amoo to not sign and then spend the money on old man Foley....high earner for high earner......Lloyd is on a low wage Foley would be a high earner so it is not like for like.

Also Kennedy was on Man City's book, played in the same England U21 side as Harry Kane, has played in the SPL and was at Shrewsbury in League 1 last season.....would suspect Rawlinson might be fourth choice centre back and wouldn't bet against

Kennedy and Smith being first choice by the end of the season or certainly the one after when Legge retires.

Conlon is one of those players whose first touch is so good, he always has time on the ball to pick a pass.

Doesn't waste possession and has a good passing range.

Seems to have good energy too.

Is he a bit lightweight?

I'm not convinced. Maybe in some games, but the game is changing, even at this level, so more technically gifted players can flourish.

So which two wouldn't you have had to fit Foley and Tyson in ....Cullen,Bennett or Amoo ?

Don't think Askey wants any past it footballers more suited to "walking football" it seems obvious that Askey wants a high press

and requires players with energy and mobilty but who are also technically good in terms of their skill set with a good first touch

and a degree of football intelligence but most importantly players with discipline and a work ethic....team work and organisation

will go a long way.

Must be watching a different player to me. He infuriates me with the number if touches he has to have. He invariably holds on to the ball too long and was guilty of this causing us to lose possession on several occasions season. If he could just move the ball quicker he would be an excellent player.

Losing possession on several occasions during a season is a risk all midfielders take.

Kennedy doesn’t look brilliant and we already have Rawlinson to cover that position.

Come on who in their right mind would prefer Lloyd over Foley.

You can't go with only one spare centrehalf, that would be absolute madness.
