Thus may sound a bit maverick Ern but everyone around me agreed Lloyd did ok. Also, I can’t remember a thunderous challenge from anyone all game, so perhaps they’re all “wimpy” 😳

Lloyd did have a good game Saturday.

Doubt Ernie was there to witness it.....

Any thoughts on the fact Sam Foley was training with the lads today ?

Maybe we are loaded in midfield, though in his first spell here he had an eye for goal.

Maybe that ship has sailed but possibly he'd of been an ok addition

I do like Foley and think he would add to our squad, him and oyeleke in the middle we would have real legs in midfield.

They reckon Trickett-Smith is like that as a player but not too sure Askey rates him

Fingers crossed he can be -  I think thats the missing piece of the puzzle.

Lloyd was his usual wimpy self hasn’t improved since he left the Vale.

How anyone can think he can play at full back needs their head looking at.

Note he couldn’t tackle a rice pudding.

And you base that on a pre season friendly? Come on give it a rest he's an ideal squad player, the manager can trust him and he can play in multiple positions to fill gaps for injuries and suspensions. Just the type every squad neevds in. particular when you have a small one...wait for it Ernie.... Quality over quantity!

And please not Foley he was decent under Page but he's the wrong age for us now, plus he will want a good salary. We should stay away having just got rid of the Dad's army midfield in the summer.

Sam Foley played 36 league games for Northampton last season.

Ryan Lloyd 13 for Macc.

If we can get him on a reasonable wage no contest.

Not one for going for previous players but foley was a favourite of mine. Excellent player for us. Does have that relegation curse although I can’t see that happening this time
