One squad players wages saved (and tongue was on a decent wedge I imagine) to add to hannants wage to tempt a quality player who will actually be hannants replacement.

Who else would sign Lloyd and Burgess?

They are just desperate to obtain a contract so are easy signings and wasting the budget.

Get real we have better youth players who could be given a chance.

Quality not quantity.

In Askey we trust he needs to realise we are not a non league team.

Can understand scepticism, but Bury fans rate him highly and appears to be a low risk (low wages and expectations, short contract) high reward signing. Askey knows he's a good character so at worst he's a cheap, backup attacking midfielder who is only 21.

 

I know Lloyd and Burgess aren't going to get the masses flocking to the ticket office but lets give the summer opportunity to develop. One marquee signing, preferably a forward, will make these cheaper signings look far better. Patience.

I would think, Askey will use a nice chunk of the budget, on a pair of decent strikers, as these obviously cost the most.
