Who should we sign?

All these good players being released and we get Lloyd and Dickinson .

That’s really going to help season ticket sales.

These should be desperate last resort signings at the end of the window not top of your wish list signings.

Who else in the league is going to sign them.

At least Harry Smith has been signed by another club so he isn’t available.

So who do you think is the problem Carol or Askey?

Would imagine Carol is leaving the football decisions to Askey. The problem is if we don’t bring in better players and we are struggling to stay in the league at Christmas everyone will be clamouring for him to be sacked.

He can’t blame the previous Manager if he has formed his own team.

Quality not quantity.

James Wilson would be an excellent signing but must have better options probably just a fairytale to deflect away from signing Lloyd and Dicko.

Lloyd will probably sign,i will be surprised if we sign Dicko but lets not slate him until he has finalised the squad and we see how we do in the first several games....I am not impressed with signing Lloyd BUT I am backing the new regime 110% and I will confidently say we will finish above mid table under Askey

I think the big hint was a recent radio interview when the playing budget was revealed to be in “excess of 1.2 million”.

That is truly awful.

Fairly certain that is a record low in either the Smurfwaite or Bratt eras.

Sorry but that is rubbish, our budget will be on a par if not slightly better than last season(which ended up in the top 13),I believe it doesn't include those currently under contract and is for new players,it could also get better the more season tickets we sell, also I am happy knowing that any cup money or future player sales will go back into the club unlike before

Baggers on his Q&A has pointed out that the comment from Carol was simply that Accrington Stanley are successful on a budget of £1.2m and the Vales budget will be bigger than that.

He also pointed out that Askey said he didn’t know his total budget yet... which makes sense as it will depend on season ticket sales.

So we can put this “1.2m” thing to bed.

Would you prefer it to be less than £1.2 million?
