That’s the way it should happen.But you never know what is what with Smurtwaite.It wouldn’t be a shock if Smurtwaite was to do something behind Colin Garlicks back on the sly without informing him.

 

Yes I think he was the one who signed Trickett Smith and Reece Robins when he was playing Football Manager.

You don't really sell youth players anymore there's a compensation formula in place if the player and guardians want to move clubs. Why someone from Stoke wants their under 16 son moving to, or commuting to Southampton to play football is baffling. Particularly as they're obviously progressing well where they are.

 

What parent in their right mind would want their football loving son to join the youth set up that produced Bale, Walcott, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Shaw, Chambers, Ward-Prowse, Lallana etc and leave ours? Makes no sense at all!!!
