A whole row in the Bycars? I have had my own section for years, I counted them once. 448 seats only worked out 60p per seat for the whole season. Bargain.

I might have to move. 👍

The worst thing is that although I’m on an empty row I sometimes get into an argument when asking someone to move out of my seat 😳

A conversation with oneself I've always said is the only guarantee it will be sensible.

I was a bit ticked off with it all and despite the takeover still wasn’t going to bother. The club had become so toxic I was done with as I thought there was no coming back from it. I was wrong & I renewed mine & my dad’s today- I reckon the new owners deserve all the backing they can get.

Must of been tough decision over Dimes Bok revolution

Too busy with work at present but will make sure will get 2 for the first time post Bruna era before the early bird deadline end of June even though one of the ST won't be used for 2 months of the season.

I don't want this to come over as negative but I would be chuffed with anything over 4000. To sell 3500 (more than last years total) in 4 weeks sounds a lot.

Yes, I've thought that talk of 5000 has been a bit fanciful (seemed to be started by comments from Mark Porter) - after all, they are not cheap.

The last time we sold 5000 (actually over 6000 I think) they were only about £180 for an adult ST, which was cheap even back then.

Maybe we'll go over 4000 if there are lots of free kids tickets included.

Not living in The Potteries I don't read the print copy of The Sentinel nor see any street adverts/billboards etc.

So I'm wondering is there a sales drive underway yet, or has it been decided that priorities lie elsewhere?

The lack of communication from the club about sales and/or renewals has been woeful in recent years, so I'm hoping something as crucial as this is high on the agenda.

To be fair to the ticket office, there are now a couple of staff in there who seem to know how to speak to and deal with people. I just hope they have worthwhile data to use if and when they start being proactive in trying to sell tickets. And with Synectics and Autonet employing so many people locally I hope they are due a sales-pitch visit soon.

I would aim high and see how far we go.

When I renewed mine a few weeks ago I was told that quite a few sold in the first few days were new ones and not renewals, and I think the fact that we now have friendly, open, local owners who want Burslem to do well and have a few local contacts will hopefully encourage a few more to come on board.

Have they not sold all the boxes already?

It is a steep ask, I agree, but we should be able to shift a lot more than last year and if one or two decent players arrive soon that will also boost interest.

...if one or two decent players arrive soon that will also boost interest.

That's key to absolutely maximising sales (despite what some continually bang on about on here) - some people will naturally be unsure about forking out on an ST after such a steep decline these last few dreadful years, and its these waverers that will need luring to purchase through a couple of decent signings being made.

As I stated previously adult STs aren't cheap, and some will want to see a bit of ambition and intent on the pitch, in addition to the already fantastic news of Mr Creosote finally f-ing off and being replaced by decent, honest people.
