So Garlick was telling porkies?He did say he had spoken to 2 parties.

 

I think the Asian bid may not have substance but Colin Garlick did say he had spoke to two parties - one local and one a bit further away. I suggested this was Tunstall but he said it was even further!!

Yes but like Northampton probably only 1500 of them... that said we would be the last resort against clubs closer surely?

Originally they were told they could move 6 miles from the city. The League have now extended that to 50 miles. Vale Park is over 60 miles from Coventry. There's an interesting poll in the Coventry Telegraph which shows Vale is not a very popular option!

Cant say I blame them Jacko that's a hell of a trip for a home game, Walsall must be a better bet. I would guess the distance would be the major consideration as the closer the venue the more that travel , the more revenue generated.

Now I could be dreaming this, but wasn't an Asian guy mentioned on here before, I think his name is Stanley Yu,he is responsible for the long drawn out development at the bottom of Priory Rd in Newcastle.

 

It wouldn't surprise me that Smurthwaite embellished his Hong Kong story and confused Stone with Beijing.
