They did on the day the takeover acceptance was announced.

 

Yeah, I know that. In the light of no news, the end of season meaning that it's the last chance for supporters to let their feelings be known and to remind Smurthwaite that the protests haven't necessarily gone away, it might be a good idea to remind supporters and NS of the fact that protests have stopped but that the fans still want him gone.

Oh yes it is he can pull the plug on the deal and blame the supporters or anyone except himself.

At least as there has been no announcement they are still negotiating.

Hopefully it will be announced this week and we can have a Norman’s leaving party at the Macclesfield game.

Think about it, the bloke is all about ego rather than common sense. County were recently valued around £6mil I heard, so not far off price hes getting for Vale. It's also virtually on his doorstep. Then think of his ego if his side do better than Carol's. Then he'll be all over Twitter saying "look Vale fans I've given County a massive budget compared to yours.46f672375ea6cc1c2c1d098e47fe9460.jpg

I'm not sure there's anything stopping the Shanahans from confirming the takeover, Smurthwaite doesn't have a monopoly on the right to make an announcement surely.

I don't know how these things work to be honest, smithie. I suspect Smurthwaite can make it as difficult as possible to complete before 3pm Saturday though.

I totally agree he won't like the thought of people celebrating his departure at a home game, even though he's proved time and again he doesn't care what people say or think about him.

 

I think some people are worrying too much about his hanging on. He's not going to scupper a multi-millionaire deal over the reaction of fans. Indeed he'll be loving the thought of fans being under his thumb and holding their collective tongue.

I can't see him not agreeing as he'd get next to nothing for putting the club into admin. OK he'd still have the ground, but without a club to play in it where would he be?

 

Just sit back and wait. We'll be shut of him in a very short time.
