If Sexman is holding the ground to ransom then any potential owner has to have a plan B.

Do you not think that people who have been as successful so as to have the money to buy a football club are not good negotiators .

Really some of the comments on here border on childish !

A perfect example of a childish comment.

In my opinion, those suggesting that the businesses currently using Vale Park should be dissuaded from renting the facility are too premature. When a new owner is in place, they will need to benefit from the income generated by these sitting tenants. They will have enough work to do in stabilising the club without having to spend time chasing new tenants.

That is if the purchase includes the ground. If not the new owners of the football club will be tenants too.

Yes but have they got the money to buy the ground as well as the club.

Do they know that they are dealing with an evil money grabbing bar steward as landlord.

They must be very silly if they don’t buy the ground as well as the club and be held to ransom by Smurthwaite.

The supporters must make it very clear they will not accept Smurthwaite being the landlord and will not support anyone who doesn’t purchase the ground as well as the club.

So Smurtwaite leaves .. there are new owners .. and then you want the fans to start telling the new owners what they should do !

Priceless ! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

If new owners buy the club without the ground they need all the help they can get.... it's a dead duck.... a busted flush.... a bankruptcy waiting to happen.... as much use as a square wheel..... unless they have plans to move.

I suppose it depends on what basis the ground is rented. If they were to pay, for example £120k a year in rent but keep all the income from the concourse and Enterprise Centre along with all football income, wouldn't that be a decent deal if it gave the buyer more initial capital to work with? Won't happen of course!
