Mr Smurthwaite's games begin........

Have we got any company lawyers on this site who can help me? Mr Smurthwaite has said that all the debts will be paid prior to the club being put into admin. Does that include his director's loan which must be the biggest of them? If he does this does he not make himself some sort of preferential creditor prior to admin and is that legal? If he doesn't pay off his DLA prior to admin does he not stand to lose a fair bit of cash?

He can move the DLA to another company or withdraw it out of Vale. There may be a problem with the second option.

"This business is insolvent without my altruistic funding, but there is a literal queue of buyers willing to pay well over the odds to become my tenants"

There appears to be people who think they can turn things around Joe.The next door neighbour for one.

Just listened to the interview. The man sounds frantic.

As a businessman, I expect certain levels of professionalism and Norman continually astounds me with his utter lack of it.

“No one likes me anymore so I’m not playing, and I’m going to ruin it for everybody.”

Everything he says makes no real sense. Some business ventures simply do not work. The sign of a good businessman is to know when to cut your loses. Sell the club (and ground) for a realistic price and move on to pastures new. There is no shame in that Norman. There is no need to relegate our club out of spite, no need to leave people jobless, no need to screw over supporters like my son who is 6 years old. He’s never said a bad word about you has he? He just wants to watch the team he loves.

I understand you feel aggrieved that the fan base has turned on you but the reasons are obvious and to be honest, at this late hour, utterly irrelevant. Be a professional for once in this torturous tenure, put your toys back in the pram, your dummy back in your mouth and sort this out like a real businessman should.

I implore you.

Ooh Mark on P&G, you’ve rumbled us all mate. We are racist scumbags that won’t be happy till we’ve got an owner with a Potteries accent.

I honestly struggle to understand how these people formulate these mad opinions.

its got to be a member of his family ,probably his son or son in law exact same twang and mannerisms.

also it made me laugh when he said synectics only made £4000 profit on a £17 million turnover.. 4k is more profit than our dictator makes but this guy was funny as he tried to rubbish all apart from the evil one, think even the presenter had guessed and nearly laughed at one point -bet the number was a Leicester one

Is his son called Mark?

Not sure, but he was very funny and obviously not to be taken serious like his dad-

one thing his dad doesn't have the money to run vale he needs to take cash out of the club to sustain his lifestyle rather than let the club keep the money it generates.

the family really have an issue with synectics can only be that carol is a lady, successful and outbid the evil one for the land they now occupy...

my opinion is wildes led the group consortium with whole aim for NS to take over , the apparent ring fenced season ticket money had disappeared after out of admin (wonder if this was someones profit for stumping up original cash share)conveniently only noticed when NS took full control ..sounds all to convenient...

NS when taking on full controlled milked the promotion enjoyed slashing cost to maximise what he could take out with the aim of achieving then to wind us down and then selling and leasing the ground or using the ground for other purposes...

the football side was always going to be someone elses fault and is a smoke screen to divert attention from his real intentions.

Now Mark what do you think about that

I see that the club have had to issue a statement in the last hour saying that all events will be honoured at VP. The club have already received cancellations due to the fat blue one threatening to close the place.

But I thought Mark Porter and Black & Gold were responsible for us losing revenue?!
