That’s ********

Someone better tell the Asians that there won’t be many fans there if he does not sell to synetics

All that greedy **** is after is leasing the ground back to us

The protestors want new owners, if the Asian’s exist they are exactly that. Or will the protests against the new potential owners begin before they even take up ownership?

Don't be silly rep..... fans want good owners..... if they aren't the right to protest is still optional.

So why is the poster I quoted throwing his toys out of the pram saying SS or no one or words to that effect.

Everyone wants good owners, nobody knows if the Asians will be or if SS will be, only time will tell.

Stupid to suggest anything else.

You have no idea whether anybody knows whether these Asians will be good or not and so are stupid to suggest that nobody knows anything to the contrary.

This news today is entirely expected. It will be dealt with accordingly.

Nobody knows bud at all, only time and history will prove either way whether they would be good owners.

To suggest otherwise is ridiculous unless you are a clairvoyant.

Doubtless there will be other interested parties and to expect this not to be the case would be worrying. The important aspect initially is that the ground is sold with the club.

As per with a Norman statement, its full of too many discrepencies to be taken seriously.

Issue 1: As he clutched a glass of red on Saturday night, administering verbal diarrhoea to the listeners of Radio Stoke, he was fairly adamant it was up to "Mark Porter and Mr Black and Gold" to find a buyer in 5 weeks, seemingly confident it wouldn't happen.

We're 36 hours down the line and he's got a consortium from another continent who have agreed terms and are ready to play an exclusivity fee.

Norman either knew they existed on Saturday night and lied/forgot, they've come into the picture and done business with the most obstinate of men in a day, or they don't exist in the form he presents them.

Issue 2: Why would a consortium with no links to the country, let alone local area, spend £2.8m purely for what Norman deems an insolvent, failing, football club? They don't get the main asset of the ground, and you would presume forfeit kiosk/event fees, as well as paying rent. They would be more than doubling Norman's initial fee and forfeiting the only asset the business should hold. They're effectively paying £2.8m to be Norman's tenant, to own a badge, and a club with no manager and 9 players post May, on the verge of insolvency. In the words of another foreign investor who was linked to our club a number of years ago for incredulous fees; "Where's the Beef, Baby?"

I'm sorry, but people should not be treating this statement with any credibility.

In the past Norman has said; the club will never be sold separately to the ground, the club will never be in debt during his tenure, and he'd communicated, presumably via Ouija Board, with the spirit of the deceased Billy Bell.

Considering the state he was in Saturday night, I'm certainly not going to give this any real credit or respect. In my view, Carol and Kevin are still the only bidders who we can attribute any credence.

Whether the buyers are from Burslem, Asia, or Mars the financial disadvantages of not owning the stadium are well known from the days when Coventry moved to the Ricoh. As a short term measure with a contract to buy it maybe unavoidable, but I cannot see Asian buyers accepting that when there are surely other English clubs in the market as an alternative investment.

I just can't believe anyone believes a word he says. His track record of telling porkies is phenomenal. Of course there is no Asian syndicate, and even if you stretch the bounds of credulity to infinity and believe there is - then they are nuts. 2.8 million for a football club just hovering above football league oblivion, with absolutely no assets?

Walter Mitty stuff.

There are three bids in at the moment, the Asian consortium have paid £100,000 to see the books, if every thing is in order, they will pay 2.8 million and rent the ground, no idea who the other interested parties are, at this stage, this Information as come from BBC Midlands TV.

Cheers, doubt that will be the end of the interest either.

And that information has come from Norman.

I find it staggering he was absolutely adamant a buyer wouldn't be found by May 5th, and in 2 days they're seemingly knocking his door down to rent the ground off him and buy an insolvent business with no assets for quadruple its market value.

He's clearly a shrewd negotiator.
