Well the protests are working

He sounds like a desperate man. Hopefully the ******** threats can prompt a final offer from the neighbors.

If he is so desperate to sell and get anything out of a deal Synectics should offer him a final formal offer of 2.5 million.

If he still refuses to sell wait for it to go into receivership then buy it for a lot less.If he insists on keeping the ground move to Leek Town until a new stadium can be built.

He can sit on the mineshaft ridden land with a community asset on it for as long as he likes.

This is now getting serious. Fans are beginning to argue with one another. Smurthwaite is teetering, possibly on the edge health wise. One of his few friends needs to speak some sense into the man.

Not sure he has any real friends and I doubt he'd listen to any even if he did. He night listen to his aunt, that's about it

Didn't someone try it a few years ago? Hold off administration until after the season ends in an attempt to get the deduction the following season.

I think the EFL would apply it this season.

but the season would be finished?

No. There is no 'holding it off' anyway. 4 May the club is in good financial health, 5 May it's in admin because the owner has thrown a strop. Season is over, points deduction comes next season.

Leeds United filed for administration with only a few days remaining in the 2006–07 season, which automatically triggered a 10-point penalty. This placed Leeds at the bottom of the table and relegated the club, but they were extremely likely to have been relegated anyway. By entering administration during the 2006–07 season, they hoped to avoid starting the 2007–08 season on −10 points. The following week, Boston United entered administration in the final minutes of a defeat to Wrexham which ensured they were relegated to the Football Conference, meaning they likewise avoided starting the following season on -10 points (though they would find themselves being double-relegated to the Conference North for unrelated reasons).[15] The Football League saw both cases as clubs trying to exploit a loophole, and changed the rules. From 2007–08, any club entering administration after the fourth Thursday in March would have their 10-point deduction suspended until the following season. If the club is relegated the points will be deducted from their tally at the start of next season. If the club stays up the 10 points will be taken off their final total.

That's from wiki, not sure if it's still the rule.

Been saying Norman's a disgusting vindictive fat mess for years. That interview sums him up. Vile vile parasite that hasn't once thought about anyone but himself. He asked why fans are doing this? The man is clearly deluded and not well. He's made so many mistakes repeatedly that shows he will simply never learn. Since protests started, results have improved, yet yesterday he decided to announce he'd put us in admin. If he wanted to change our fortunes, January was his chance. Yet again, he failed. He could have sold to Synectics with an offer over the value of the club. He chose not to. Now he's blaming people who've sung a few songs at him. The man needs help. If his family cared about him they'd intervene. He needs sectioning, that interview was an absolute car crash from a man on the edge, and a danger to himself and others.

No one to blame but himself. Get gone.
