Based on his statement it seems that he was led to believe he could manage as he thought appropriate, but was then not allowed to do so. For him, he is fortunate enough not to have needed the job for money so he was able to take the moral high ground and resign. This would, on the face of it, seem to be a case of the Board and or Chairman and or Owner promising something they had no intention of delivering. Does that sound familiar to anyone?

He is never on Sky. Never on BBC. His main reason for leaving seems to be micro-management. I have encountered that a few times in my career and it is really annoying. Turned a good job down a few years ago because i could see the likely boss was a narcissistic micro-manager. Every sympathy.
