Synectic`s owner statement

Not unless vale Park is moved to within 6 miles of Coventry city center, they are the new football league rules, so for them it's either make a deal with wasps or adios league status...

Didn't know about that, saw an article the other day offering Northampton (again!), Leicester, Villa, Birmingham, WBA, Walsall and a few others. Obviously someone's pie in the sky (blues) wish list. Thanks

Just a question.

Are people throwing everything into the Synectics

basket or are they prepared to get behind some other bid?Carol said she would work with those who met Smurthwaite’s asking price.

Whatever it takes to get the hapless idiot gone.

As far as we are aware this is the only offer on the table. What do you suggest, we stick with Mr Blobby?

In the following article he says:

By pure coincidence Smurthwaite has been trying to get in touch with City’s chief executive Tim Fisher for advice on how to run a football club.

“I am hoping he could give me some guidance because I’ve never owned a football club before,” he revealed.

“But I didn’t want him to think that I am offering my football ground to them as a venue, although I would be happy to look at it. I wanted to go to the club to understand their business model.”

I like the bit where he says: “I didn’t buy Port Vale because I knew them, I did so because someone offered me a deal which I thought was viable and I could turn the business around.” Epic fail I'd say!

One of my fears is that he will sell the club to Hong Kong owners , with a clause that he still owns the land. That would be terrible. Assuming he is in Hong Kong.

He would do it out of spite for the fans.

What makes you think he’s motivated by spite?

Japan?

He,s probably in Portugal sunning himself thinking about the wads of cash coming his way.

The Hong Kong deal was publicised at 2.75 million with a 500k rebate if we are relegated.

He thinks he is a clever business man waiting for a better offer.

Carol should now offer him even less and say the value is falling due to the clubs position in the league and go public again with the reason.
