Refreshment Kiosk Boycott

Recommended Posts

In light of the revelations yesterday by Port Vale CEO Colin Garlick, the Black & Gold Group would like to endorse a blanket boycott of all refreshment kiosks at all forthcoming home matches. Colin confirmed that all revenue generated from the refreshment kiosks does not go back into the club. We would therefore urge supporters to not purchase anything from those kiosks whilst Norman Smurthwaite remains in place.

Last home game he didn't order any pies the home game prior to that he only ordered a few pies and they had gone by 2.45pm so he isn't bothered about us boycotting food he said to a member of staff that I know if they want starve my out then I will starve them out by ordering nothing. There was more pies available for 140 Morecambe fans than there was in the railway he did it on purpose.

Wasn’t this service contacted out annually to a third party? Which would explain why Mr Garlick said that the revenue from food sales didn’t go to the club.

If so, then even in the event of no sales the owner still gets his money.

Although if the blue one is active in the ordering then this can’t be the case.

My understanding is that it used to be contracted out but it was then taken over by the club. Mr Smurthwaite has arrived at the club on occasions with provisions for the kiosks in the back of his car. He has also served in them. He wouldn't be doing that if it was contracted out.

I hate trying to kneck a bottle of Carling at half time while trying to smoke a fag and eat a sausage roll anyway.

I'll just smoke my fag near the toilets from now on. Unless my mate buys me a beer. That's still technically boycotting.

I'm intrigued? Why you smoking your fag by the toilets from now on?
