Q: Does money from the club shop and retail outlets go into club accounts.

 

A: Colin G - From the club shop, yes. From the catering kiosks, no.

 

Where does this money go?

Why are fans still buying from these kiosks?, surely now we must not purchase anything else from yhe kiosks....

You do well to buy anything from the kiosks just lately. It must be the worst ccatering at a football ground ive ever seen.

 

Apart from Forest green for obvious reasons we must be the only ground where you cant get an hotdog or burger from.

I was told a couple of years ago that this money, as well as not being turned over by the club, gets loaned back to the club as directors loans.

Another one of Norman’s pie in the sky schemes.

Gives him another company to squirrel away money taken from the club and use his Directors loans as cover to move his money around.He can take money out of the club without paying tax and pay himself as loans.

I am sure HRMC would be very interested in his wheeling and dealing with his different companies and loans.

Still can’t understand why he needed to make loans from his other companies considering he hasn’t spent any of it on the club.He hasn’t invested any big amounts in the club to justify these loans.

Are you quaking in your oversize boots Mr Owner? Every day something is revealed to point the finger at questionable goings on behind the scenes at Vale. Have your comics(sorry, accounts )been updated yet and when are the Authorities viewing them?

 

Not only B & G, but now some posters on here have joined in getting word out to many, many people of the alleged underhand way Vale is run. Culprits can run but they cannot hide forever. Hope you can sleep well at night. Your only saving grace now is to sell up for a reasonable price and go and enjoy(?) your retirement. We want our Club back.

Smurthwaite stopped using his company Port Vale Retail midway through the 2015/16 season.

 

When he leaked the draft accounts to OVF for the 2015/16 financial year, shop sales were £119,315 and cost of sales £104,107 for the part of the year that the club shop takings went back in house. So that's about £15k gross profit and when you take into account other overheads I'd be surprised if he made a net profit out of the shop.

 

Hmmm.
