To be fair to crooks he hasn’t been that bad and is composed on the ball, something you need playing that position. Plus he adds balance being a left footer.

I’d love to say, I’ll eat my David Beckham predators if Legge plays again! But they are worth a few quid these days, so I’ll save them for the hard up days :) maybe they will pay for the obligatory 12 month extension Leon gets if he starts a game between now and the end of the season

Don’t disagree with you 1973, i do think the 3 at the back exposes us to more easy balls into our box, it was evident in the 1st half against Morecambe down the left (I shouted no end across to Askey) and in the 2nd half they scored from the same situations....

 

Unless the back 3 and the wide 2 understand their defensive positions, it different attacking situations, then it doesn’t matter if you can pass like Beckham or run like Ronaldo.... pointless!

 

The team lacks organization and a player like Legge who has bags of experience will make us play in the right positional way, leadership is CRITICAL on a football pitch especially so given the league experience the team has (defensively).... Askey can’t see this it seems.

Actually Clarke is better at left back than Crookes and if we are playing wing backs him and Gibbons are the best players for those positions.

Clarke is not a midfielder but when we had Clarke at left back with Monty on the left wing they worked well as a pair.Same on the right with Gibbons at right back with Worrall on the right they covered each other.

Howkins or Legge must replace Rawlinson who is a liability week in week out.

We must try to improve the attacking options with Pope and Miller up front.

Legge has been asked but can’t reply. He does however like some tweets, in particular one from a guy who said that Norman will replace him with Streete because he’s free and cheaper in wages.

I’ve personally been told that he is 2 games away from a contract extension.

Good to see Legge is playing today, best of our defenders that I’ve seen this season, should never have been dropped for Rawilinson.
