Brown

Clark

Crookes

Howkins (if he's not fit to play then why is he here for a dozen games?)

Gibbons

Hannatt

Conlon

Oyeleke

Whitfield

Pope

Miller

Straightforward 442. There's no point playing in fancy formations or setting up in a way that requires players to do more than one job well when the players aren't good enough. We should play simple football, because at the moment the scarce skills we do genuinely have are being neutralised by bizarre tactics and ever-changing partners or the player is sitting on the bench!

I'd spring a surprise and go with a more mobile front two as I guess Tranmere will be expecting Pope up front.

I didn't think the back line did much wrong yesterday but it's midfield and scoring that really needs altering.

With that in mind is go

Brown

Rawlinson

Smith

Legge

Clarke

Worrall

Kay

Conlon

Montano

Turner

Miller.

Turner instead of of Pope you are joking? might as well put Boomer up front.

Lets get some width, and creativity in the middle. Askey has to go with what he favours, no point playing someone else's system.

4-3-3: Brown; Gibbons, Legge, Howkins, Crookes; Oyeleke (if fit), Kay, (Hannant/Conlon); Whitfield, Pope, (Montano/Worrall).

If we were going to beat anyone at home then it was Morecambe. I will be at the Tranmere game with zero expectations. I have been saying all season we are too good to go down, then I was saying there are 2 teams worse than us. I now believe neither. Sincerely hope I am wrong but its beginning to look a lot like relegation. Team selection is just shuffling deckchairs on the Titanic.

Morecambe despite shithousing a win looked a far poorer side, as did Yeovil who are in even worse free fall so there is hope. 14 games 3 wins and four draws probably does it and is achievable but we need confidence quickly.
