The Problem With Protesting

With the low crowd and extra stewarding and police costs they would have made a loss. Assure will not be making money and will be jumping up and down too.

It all adds to the pressure.

As has been said the protests keep them away from the match or at least some of it. They need to know this is not going away until they go away. Let's keep getting in their faces and making their lives as uncomfortable as possible.

Re: The EGM, be patient I am sure the SC and associates are working hard in moving this forward and from our experiences earlier in the year, it's not just a matter of sending a letter to the shareholders, there's a lot a lot to consider.

The new look SC hasn't let us down yet and I have every confidence in them conducting this in the right manner with positive results.

First off, this is not a dig a protesters- I was outside the main entrance and holding my red card up in the Paddock, so don't take the title of this thread the wrong way.

My major concern with the protests, which anyone in the ground on Saturday could see was widely received by the vast majority of fans (including away fans, nice one lads), is that those in power do not care if we don't want them. The fact of the matter is, they are not here for the fans or Port Vale, they are here for themselves. They really don't care if we think they are the anti-christ or the messiah for that matter.

They are here to do a job and they seem intent on doing it. I'm not daft enough to blankly accuse them of this or that but I think we all have some sort of idea what's going on. My major concern is that they are here until they consider it to be job done and all the chanting, marching and red cards in the world are not going to change that.

I was in the director's box Jim.

Believe me, they care.

Deakin was in hiding, Miller left before kick off and Deakin, Lloyd and Oliver were escorted to their cars to leave during half time and the beginning of the second half.

Of course they care.

Wait till they get more visits on none match days.

Not sure Barry

At the meeting fans were aked what to do, the majority decided which is how it should be.

Its still my own opinion that the after match protests alienate some of the fan base, thats just my opinion though and not shared by the majority

It may alienate a lot of sponsors and hospitality users too.

Hopefully it also helps to accelerate action taken by organisations like the FA & FL that have been contacted by fans and the SC, as we're in the public eye more.

Has anyone actually received a reply from the FA/Football league? I've sent two emails and haven't even had an acknowledgement let alone a reply!
