How many more chances?

Yes could he gamble with being stuck with the land with no income from milking the club.

He is obviously stupid but not stupid enough to put the club into admin when someone would pay him money to buy it.

This I see is our only hope of Smurthwaite going. Sadly to push him to putting the club into admin it will take one of two scenario's:-

1) We lose football league status

2) Demonstrations and protests or simply more hard core fans staying away will hurt finances to such an extent he won't bail us out.

It is again going to have to get a lot worse to see any change and improvement in the long term - very dark days due largely to one greedy individual

Just saw on Twitter someone has put the number of football league games experience each of Smurthwaites last 5 managerial appointments have had at the time of being given the job:

Page - 0 games

Ribeiro - 0 games

Brown - 0 games

Aspin - 0 games

Askey - 17 games

Great set of stats IC, Oh to go back to our league position in the bad old days of Rob Page.

Not mine MITP, I took them off Twitter and they are a little off... but the sentiment is absolutely the same!

I know right... I would kill to go back to the days of finishing mid table in league one!

Following the protest next Saturday we need to keep the pressure on him and make it uncomfortable for him when he attends matches. He is already panicking about the protests that he has contacted the supporters club asking them to be nice to him because he,s such a sensitive soul and he will go crying to the police if we call him naughty names and he can’t enjoy his hospitality at games. His 12 disciples might desert him if we are not nice to him.

Time to further the black and gold before it’s sold theme and red card protest. He is thick skinned and deaf to any criticism of how he is running the club but we must keep up the pressure to drive him out.

I think the place to embarrass him most is at away games as he will rock up to those thinking he’ll be ok. The pressure ( flags, chanting etc) needs to be consistent both at home and away games.

Doesn't change the gist but Askey has had 40 league games in charge, he was in charge of Macclesfield for some of 2003/04 as well as Shrewsbury last season.

Said it before but incessant "Johnny Askey's Black and White Army, xxxx off Smurthwaite" needs to be incessantly chanted. Or "clear off Smurthwaite" as l know how bad language upsets him.
