Is NS as bad as everyone is making out?

He dose seem to try in his own way at times to please the fans. He seems to have enough money to not let the club fold.on the other hand he seems to make some strange decisions.Never myself took to him at the start but all the abuse he gets well is that helpful, I’m not sure it is.

I get where you are coming from, just posted similar of the manager thread, I am no fan of Smurf at the moment, but IF he went all out to get a very good manager and then backed him, he go some significant way to redeeming himself for all the bad decisions.

 

I don’t think anyone makes a decision on a manager knowing that if will go sour, we all wanted Aspo to succeed but his style of play and tactics, he was well out of his depth for league 2.

 

I hope we do get a decent manager and really back him in the close season..

That’s why I say, intentions are never to fail are they? He didn’t appoint Aspin thinking I’ll appease the fans but he’ll fail....

 

He backed Mickey Adams, he needs to look back on what worked and what didn’t.... your right a lot didn’t.... look at the formula followed by many other teams that have been promoted.... they get good managers, they back the manager with good players, the minute someone says quality over quantity, then panics into quantity is the minute you start to waiver in your support, we all knew it! And I’m sure Smurf did, it’s happened with our last 4 managers.

NO, any 'peace treaty' would simply mean he would be able to keep doing what he's been doing for years now - making awful football decisions and running the Club down - without getting the well-deserved flak from the fans.

I think you've got cause and effect mixed up here, Smurthwaite doesn't do daft things because gets slagged off, he gets slagged off because he does daft things.

He didn't get Hughes in - Wildes did. According to Mr Smurthwaite who said he had nowt to do with the running of the club at that time.
