A little late for me but credit to him for resigning. Looks like he tried to step down previously but Norman wanted him to stay so leaves with respect from me. Personally I’m pleased due to the dire stuff that’s been on show for months now I just hope we can for once (and I don’t have high hopes) of getting a decent replacement. All the best Niel, I expect you’ll go back to non league and probably perform pretty well there. Just out of his depth imo.

I echo Ben's good wishes and Elderbezza's suspicion. I wonder what the personal legal dispute is all about. I note that his staff are staying. Lee Nogan has followed Neil Aspin everywhere as his trusted deputy so it seems strange now that this is not initially the case. The timing, one day before transfer deadline day is mind blowing. There remain many questions to be answered, but knowing our owner's way of operating I suspect we will be waiting a long time. Similarly, Neil probably realised that he would be waiting even longer for the promised £400K. Did Neil willingly jump, or did he agree to say he resigned, and spare the Chairman some flack, in return for a settlement? Who knows!

Neil Aspin is a hard working, honourable man, who always did his best. Things did not work out for a whole number of reasons. Our recent home form has been the main factor in turning fans into protestors. I thank him for his efforts, his personal integrity and hard work.
