Vales new manager

Recommended Posts

Sorry if this is premature but after Aspin interview last night it sounds like vale could be looking for a new manager? Who will be in the frame? I’ve seen John askey mentioned but who else

Pretty strong rumours it will be John Askey. Not seen anyone else mentioned apart from Kewell and that’s just an easy link because he was at the game on Sat.

It's simple.

Darrell Clarke

Paul Hurst

Simon Grayson

Gary Bowyer

Paul Heckingbottom

Steve Evans

This is non negotiable

John Askey doesn't have the football league experience so no thanks.

Harry Kewell had a 30% win ratio at Crawley, so I don't understand the notion he "did a good job" there. Again, no thanks.

This should have been done after the Lincoln or Oldham games to give the new man time to recruit.

This is classic Norman, sacking a manager 1 day before the transfer window shuts so there isn't time to spend any of the money he keeps taking out of the club.

Norman still hasn't appointed a manager with football league experience in his awful 5 years with us.

Yet the most successful manager we've had in recent times was Micky Adams, and experienced football league manager.

Norman really doesn't understand football at all does he?

RS **** presenters should be chinned before any future interviews with our manager.Congratulating each other on Saturday’s post match interview was pathetic.Stick to the footie not someone possibly losing their job.Maybe they should be asked if they should be in the ‘job’ they are doing.Protests outside RS?

Nah I think we'll stick to protesting against Smurthwaite at Vale Park

Totally agree with this thought their comments were disgusting at best

Would prefer Aspin to stay rather than have Askey

Why haven't we got an allocated axse-licker reporter from Radio Stoke?

I've said for years that those soft-soapers McGarry and Johnson are jokes. No probing questions, nauseous fawning and being scared of upsetting the recipients of their bilge sums them up.

Do you honestly think any of those would want to work for ************. He has history of forcing Rob Page out and giving no money to spend on players and wages.

Get ready for another cheap option of John Askey.

No self respecting manager with a proven track record in the league will come and work for Norman.

Not a chance.

Not sure why everyone is so down on a Askey though. He did a superb job at Macc. Can’t do any worse than Aspin, surely?

Can’t remember them asking Gary Rowett if he was going to lose his job.

Dual standards because they don’t want to upset Peter Coates.

I think John Askey is a proven manager at non-league level, getting Macclesfield promoted back in to the football league. Nice to see that Smurthwaite's already planning for next season. ************.
