Vales new manager

Might be clutching but at least askey has been watching the games, he hopefully has an idea on how we can score a goal. We need to do something because the danger of relegation is greater than last season in my opinion.

Not even close RB.14/1 to go down, this morning.

Think we are pretty much on the exact same points or 1 point more than last season so its very tight again... hopefully we dont have to wait for the end of March for a next win like last season and can get breathing space.

It's simple.

Darrell Clarke

Paul Hurst

Simon Grayson

Gary Bowyer

Paul Heckingbottom

Steve Evans

This is non negotiable

John Askey doesn't have the football league experience so no thanks.

Harry Kewell had a 30% win ratio at Crawley, so I don't understand the notion he "did a good job" there. Again, no thanks.

This should have been done after the Lincoln or Oldham games to give the new man time to recruit.

This is classic Norman, sacking a manager 1 day before the transfer window shuts so there isn't time to spend any of the money he keeps taking out of the club.

Please listen to the fans and approach one of the above names Norman. The club is crying out for experience, we simply can not afford to take a risk. Askey is not the right man for me.

Steve Evans, Paul Hurst and Darrell Clarke are all realistic too.

Virtually half of RS pre match yesterday was aimed at Neil Aspin getting the sack.****s.

At the start of the month we drew with the league leaders and all Aspin wants to talk about is how he's upset that the fans are criticising him and that he is considering quitting. Six games later with two goals scored and four blanks, out of work managers watching in the stands and Aspin admitting the chairman won't let him spend any money because he's one bad result away from the sack. Sorry, all this and you think it's unacceptable to ask the manager about his future?!

It was a reasonable question but surely the post match interview should start by asking about the match, not “Hi Neil, are you getting the sack”.

Maybe they knew Aspin would be gone the next day? It certainly seemed that as the full-time whistle went they were hinting it was his last game in charge despite it being a decent away point.

Looks like I might be in the minority but I’d take askey 100% worked wonders at macc. Played youth, played decent football, chairman couldn’t speak highly enough of him. I wanted him when we got aspo but can see the frustrations others might have if it is him. I’d still like to see someone like hurst or some that were mentioned on page one of this thread although probably out of our price range. No time for a new man to bring anyone in though!

Done deal it’s Askey.Macc didn’t want him back when he was sacked by Shrewsbury and he wasn’t up to it at Shrewsbury.

Another one of Norman’s Pound shop bargains.

Norman,s Just waiting for the window to close before he announces it.
