Match Thread - Newport County v Port Vale

Recommended Posts

Come on snow so the game is called off. That gives us another few days to get players in, Aspin out and a new manager to start organising the players. You can dream.

Reality - we will get humped after we field a team of defenders and 1 striker with little experience. Aspin will then say he is so proud of the lads and they gave everything.

We're unbeaten away from home in the league since November 27th but stay pessimistic if it makes you feel better.

No just thinking that Aspin will go all out not to get beaten and be so defensive our 1 striker will be marked out of the game. He wont use any of the attacking midfielders and go with defensive midfielders and hope we score and hold them.

Could we struggle this time of year every season because we have to play on that pitch every other week?

We should be used to it now Steve, the opposition only play on it once a year.

I'd take a point tomorrow and we're so short of goals I'd happily take a 0-0.

If I start thinking too much beyond the next game I go maudlin!

I seem to remember us pasting Ipswich 6-0 on New Year’s Day

We will play 5 at the back with 2 holding midfielders.

We will have 1 or 2 shots on target.

We will lose.

Aspin will say "We were unfortunate with the goals, the players gave everything, we didn't deserve to lose".

The clown of an owner still won't sack him.

Repeat until relegated.

You missed a vial part of your comment which would sit after 'Repeat until relegated'

The falling attendances and lack of support at home games is the reason why the relegation happened and the decline of this football club.I came here and rescued the club but the fans don't turn up because they don't like me'

Without Pope, Whitfield, Kanu and Miller, our squad will carry 13 goals into this game. Pathetic.

O.M.G. that is so so bad. That stat is outragous..

And a player who’s scored 13 goals this season is out on loan.

You couldn’t make it up.

Wasn't it 5-0 and wasn't it 1990?
only because Ipswich players were on the piz New Years Eve at the Post House, that was the rumour at the time.
