In any deal he will keep the ground and rent it to the club owners.

 

Does anyone remember his statement that he would leave the club in a better state than he found it?

 

No one with any business sense would buy the club without the ground. Its a dilemma that is very disturbing for all Vale fans.

One other possibility could be buy the club and move to a new ground...think autonet have a lot to do with kidsgrove play their for 2 yrs whilst building a new smaller stadium ..leave our dictator with a ground of no use and some expensive buildings to maintain or develop question if he will break even on the current value of land in burslem ...pure guess though

...and was from the moment that he did it. And yet there were still some on here backing him & claiming that it was for the good of the club. Utterly clueless & gullible!

 

As for Ian Donaldson, wasn't he linked with buying the club years ago - either when V2001 were "in charge", or was he one of the other interested parties when V2001 were chosen by the Administrators?

I thought about that but would the FL allow Football league games to be played at Kidsgroves ground. I couldn't envisage us sharing down the road at Sjoke but Crewe is easy to get to or even Macc or Burton.

Seperating the ground isnt the issue its what your intentions are that count..by separating it and the business goes bump the ground is protected..its case of the value he wants for the club and ground which would be no different if they were under the same company...its the person selling thats the issue no whats on paper

Prob won't make any difference anyway as someone has said Smurthwaite wants at least £7million if not higher and despite Ian (Autonet) being interested for a while, they refuse to pay that much.

This is what annoys fans, some say "But there is no one else out there" Yes there is but Smuthwaite wants stupid and frankly insane money for the club.

A while back he Tweeted he loved the club. Ok Smurthwaite prove it and sell the Club for a realistic amount. Or is it really the case you are prepared to hold the club and fans hostage, and prevent a potentially excellent buyer who would run the club far better, with far better contacts than you, from buying the club, because you "Have never lost out on a deal"

 

He bought it for 1.2 million so if he sells it for 1.3 million he can say he has made a profit.

If we get relegated he will have to pay someone to take it off his hands.

Pie in the sky that he will get 6 million .Despite his lies he has taken a lot of money out of the club including the Hugill money he has received.

But he is a greedy bar steward trying to milk as much as he can out of the club and really is happy to hide the money in his other companies that make no money.

The only way to force him out is to keep harassing him at home matches with banners and red cards like the supporters did at the last away game.

Its the only way but will take time to force him out which could be detrimental to the club in the short term.:sad

and if he wont sell for a reasonable price, that may be the only way forward. Thats assuming there is interest.
