Our home record.

For Us All

I can't remember a time off the top of my head when we've lost so many at home, not even in the early 80's. I last saw us win at home in October, and we've just had 3 home defeats on the bounce.

It really doesn't help that the place is like a morgue!

I know it's not about this thread but surprisingly Crewe have 3rd best home record in the division and we won there !!

They also have the worst away record, till they rock up here.

Our home form is disgusting, with Carlisle, Mansfield and mighty FGR amongst others to come here we are looking at double figures

Our away form is actually really good which is annoying as add previous years home form to this away and we'd be alright!

Our pitch is far too long and wide for our pedestrian players and it shows each week we’re at home. We get outrun and and outpaced all over the pitch. We are team full of statues sadly.

We go away on tighter pitches and this doesn’t happen as much for players to run in behind us and out wide.

Our big pitch used to be our advantage in years gone by when we had proper wingers

Since the start of last season we also lost at home to Lincoln Sunderland and Shrewsbury in cup competitions. Also some of the games at home this season like Cheltenham Notts county and Exeter could have been losses if we hadn't of scored late equalisers.

Thank goodness we have Brown between the sticks too. I have usual voted for Pope in the player of the season awards, this year its Brown for me. He should walk it and that says everything about our season.

I like coming back to the Potteries. It is 32 years since I left and I can get some nostalgia etc. But on the pitch we are underachieving by say 50%. Our tactics have consisted of the 5 centre halves approach. The boot it up the pitch the moment you get it approach. The play a bit more football but with no drills and shape approach. Most of all we are poor in both boxes. What are they doing on the training field?

That is absolutely right. If we had last season's goalkeeper fiasco with the current outfield level of performance we would be cut adrift. I do a disservice to Hornby because he had become good enough at L2 level by the end of last season.

Let's not make any bones about it our home form over the last 2 years has been nothing short of atrocious,if it carries on to the end of this season it will surely relegate us out of the football league. All this with having the best goalkeeper that there is in the lower leagues the trouble is the strong base stops there.Although we must have 5 or 6 centre backs on the books we have not got a strong pair who dominate the strikers of the teams we play.I have no problem with leon Legge he is the ball winner in the air the problem is who to play alongside him Smith has gone backwards in the last 18 months in his distribution and general play he should be dropped. If Remmie Streete is anywhere near fit to play he should be in playing alongside legge then we should play 2 proper out and out full backs in the back four who can defend not people who can just fill in.

Remi hasn't played a competitive game for over 18 months, is it likely that he will be match fit?
