Protest against the owner all remaining home games.

I understand Vital's comments but if we do hold protests of any sort we need our 'absent friends' to support our cause.

Personally I think that we need a meeting (supporters club ??) to discuss a plan of action. One thing is for sure if Port Vale is to survive Smurthwaite must be removed for good.

It would be nice to see a few more at the supporter's club meetings, instead of the normal 15 to 20! A pity that the only time the supporters club meeting is needed is when we're in trouble!

I understand how frustrated/mad/ angry we all feel, but protests may?? Affect the owner, but it will definitely affect new or potential signings, and any who are 50/50 about signing will probably decide not to come.

Nobody wants to come anyway after what Mr. Smurthwaite has done in the past. It is more important at the moment to try to force him to sell rather than worry about either non league players or players from 5th or 6th division in any european league coming to the club for £250/ week!!!

If you can give a viable alternative, I'm all ears.

The longer it carries on like this the club itself become worth even less. Not long ago(at this time of the year) we were in League 1 in around the play off's.Last season we survived in League by just 1 point. This has a lot to do with why fans are frustrated / angry (rightly so)Anything affecting the owner is all his own doing. This in itself will have will be in players minds and will be partly why we are having to go for unknown players, players who are inexperienced in English football.Fans are frustrated / angry for valid resons.'IF' nothing positive happens during this transfer window that frustration / anger will increase.

Got a poll running on FB and at the moment 185 people have said they would stand side by side and join the protest.

O.k. just looking at an idea to see how many fans would participate in a peacefull vocal protest against our owner. Taking place at the main entrance before every remaining home game at 3pm until 3:20pm, this would give fans who dont go the games because of the owner and those who want to support the protest but also who want to support the team a chance to stand side by side and vent their feelings.

If I didn't live so far away, I'd turn up and remain outside for the whole game, not just 20 minutes.

Imagine 1000 fans protesting outside the main door for the whole game. That's potentially 1000 fans not paying for tickets. That would show more intent because after 20 minutes a few will pay to watch the game. If they are ST holders, will buy something in the ground.

That's the way to protest not just a few minutes; you need to make a real stand. Can we wear the 'yellow vests' lol The French don't mess about, I'm not suggesting violence or unsavoury incidents because we lose the argument? I still feel it won't make a difference, but the fans need to make a statement not sit back and 'happy clap'.

I did two full game protests last time after travelling from the south coast to stand outside for a full 90 minutes, receiving abuse and threats from fans who came out during half time. I do admit I stayed the night, I could have stayed down south and saved fuel money, but the club needed me. I now work Saturdays so and have other commitments so I can't deploy to the front line during this operation to save the club.

I just wish I didn't love the club so much, there's players up there who deserve support from the fans, and are trying there best under difficult circumstances cus they have to put up with the owner on a regular basis, imagine that.

I'm not suggesting anything other than 100% backing for the team while the game is in play. Outside of that, Smurthwaite needs grief by the bucketload.

The yellow jacket (floresent/high vis slip on) is not a bad idea, definitely visual during the whole game. Just wondering wether or not the stewards would be given "orders" to confiscate them as it clashes with there gear??

Someone more adept at using computers than me could surely mock up an A4 poster with the repulsive face of NS on it with suitable wording on it (to the effect that he's neither liked nor wanted).

This could then be downloaded and printed off at home and held up at the Carlisle game.
