Protest against the owner all remaining home games.

Not caught this on earlier posts.

Are you referring to the demo v Crawley Town?

There were probably a few hundred people before and after the game, some who did media interviews, etc.

Strangely they all disappeared prior to kick of leaving no more than about 7 or 8 outside the main entrance during the whole game. I do remember Old Sage and his lad, they don't know me but I was there, my daughter was in the ground.

People who did come out of the boxes for a smoke were abusive.

I was very disapointed in certain people who glady fronted the attention but then 'did one'

I'd be up for any demo but not in those circumstances, we need an en mass effort.

Yes it was Crawley mate, first game of the season following the march up from Burslem. There was a sizable protest outside til well after kick off. I remember Mike Lloyd came out to speak to us and someone took my B and G scarf off and put it round his neck, lol. Someone asked him if he was joining us as the match was well under way. I would say that folk drifted off gradually after half an hour or so. I left probably 15 minutes before the end of the game, was driving in to Newcastle as we scored very late on. Why oh why do we attract such crap owners?

How will this encourage some other prospective owner to put his/er head over the parapet? Surely better to sound out someone before it turns nasty.
Who is going to "sound out prospective new owners?" Any such new owners will not be deterred by fans protesting against the very loon they want to succeed. Are you saying we need to sit tight then and continue to absorb the insanity , insensitivity and apparent lack of care from Smurthwaite? That is going one way..., the wrong way.

The only problem with protesting after the kick off time is that Smurthwaite knows that most are ST holders and will close the gates out of spite.

People could do what they did at Brondby a few years back; go into the ground so you are let in, but stand under or behind the stands. Then go to your seats, when the protest finishes.

Just an idea.

Can’t say I want to stand in the paddock toilets for any longer than I need too!

Rob it might show that a section of the loyal fanbase actually care so much for the club that they would even think of trying something like this. We could be turning a negative into a positve for any intetested parties..

Totally agree mate. Many are not on ovf, Facebook or Twitter, etc but if the crowds see definite efforts to show their displeasure then more and more will follow. After all we Valiants are a shy, retiring bunch and need a kick up the jacksie to galvanize us.
