Where are all the Aspo lovers tonight?

That was truly shambolic. Neil Aspin tactically doesn’t have a clue, you start with 1 up front? You start with 1 of our best Centre Midfielders on the right wing? Your players start a game like they all have lead in the their boots, why? Defending, do you ask them to zonal Mark Mr Aspin? Terrible! The most immobile midfield pairing I’ve seen, only Whitfield can hold his head up high today.

Pope wasn’t injured today, he came off the pitch because he’d had enough, you could see how frustrated he was.... hoof ball for a good 60 minutes of the game!

It’s a joke, something has to change!

We have major problems. I can see us going down. This window will be awful, and we dont have enough quality. Even if we did, Aspin would play them out of position.

Until Smurf has gone, we're ******! its as simple as that. Unfortunately, its also obvious that we arent going to have any chance with Aspin around. Ideally both **** off. If Smurf isn't going anywhere we may as well stick with Aspin, because we wont get anyone better whilst hes paying the bills.

Pope had a hamstring issue and indicated that he needed to come off.

Dior Angus will still only get on the bench if Pope is not available. Aspin will play Whitfield up front and put on 9 defenders for the next match.

Just Hope it is not serious injury for Pope and if it is - then he needs to be rested and not played carrying an injury as previously done. See that Aspin has done the usual trick as well and avoided the praise and grumble hour again.

Amongst the many problems that we have, one must surely be that we do not have a captain / leader on the pitch. Popey is not a captain but, unfortunately, I don't think that we have one. Taking Scott Brown out of the equation, today we had 10 individuals of extremely limited ability who looked like they had never played together in a team before today. What money they are on is robbing the club. Without change, relegation looks a certainty.

I think today highlights our lack of attacking options yet again. I’ve just listened to Sproson on the way home and I thought he was overly harsh on some players.I thought the majority of our endeavour was coming or trying to come from our right hand side. But as a team you cannot rely on 2 full backs in Clark and Gibbons pushing on to be our creative sparks, we need much more than that. The amount of times they got the ball, looked up and had no one on is unreal. So they go backwards, keep the ball and the grumbles start. When we switched Whitfield to play in front of Gibbons it added a totally different dimension because they were able to link up and have some joy down that side. I thought those 2 played well together.

We need to find a way of playing without using 2 holding midfielders, (even though I think Kay played well today). Our main outlet if it wasn’t hitting Pope was our right back and we need to be better than that, thats not good enough because we need more options and that comes down to our midfielders, forwards and overall tactics. We must be so easy to play against.

I may be looking through black and white tinted glasses but I thought we created some really good chances today, ones we should have done much better with. Yet down the other end they’ve scored 2 deflections giving the keeper no chance and managed to find an unmarked player for the second from a corner. But you can guarantee that next week Aspin will probably go back to using more centre halves because he’ll probably believe those 3 goals today comes from us being too open and playing with 2 proper full backs and for me that’s not the case at all. I thought we were too open across the midfield in that first half, the amount of balls that went over our holding midfielders in that first half and hit their forwards and in turn saw them on to our back 4 wasn’t good enough. Manny not tracking players down that right hand side wasn’t good enough either. Luckily Aspin changed that to make sure Whitfield gave them something to think about and put them on the back foot, but why didn’t we start like that? There’s a lot of work to do for us and for me it’s how we play and attack. We have very few options at all. This window is huge for us.

It will perhaps do us a favour if Popey has a few week off?

This fixation with him in the team just isn't working, especially against teams such as Colchester who had seven footers in their team.

We are so predictable and need to change our style of play quickly before it's too late.

We need to give teams something else to think about rather than hoof-ball.
