Aspin close to leaving the Vale ?? Staying

There may be more to it but certainly the booing and insults have upset Aspin

I think he may not have had to deal with it as audibly at Gateshead and his other clubs. He's not earning a fortune by all accounts and must wonder why he has to suffer these d1ckheads at all.

Entitlement-culture now runs through football - entitled to boo, entitled to abuse someone, entitled to act like a spoilt brat. Stoke fans were incandescent with rage on Tuesday, Arsenal fans booed a substitution and Vale fans barracked Aspo at Lincoln.

It's interesting how the clubs whose fans back the team come what may are doing so well - Portsmouth, Luton, Accrington, Exeter.

Time for some respect for Aspo and the players I think.

Aspin is a Vale legend as a player. That can never change.

Aspin is a Vale legend as a manager for keeping one of the worst squads ever in the football league last season. Don't underestimate that achievement. 15 months ago we looked doomed.

We're slightly better this season, drawing many that we would have lost last season.

Aspin in.

NS out!

I think 24/7 talk shows and forums don't help as it relies on news and opinions constantly needing to be spouted forth. Creating a constant merry go round of managers and a belief that there are easy quick fixes.

This could be the real reason and Aspin is now blaming the fans as a way out. Smurf has form of doing this - promising managers they will be backed and then giving them a few buttons to work with. So again it could be happening as Smurf maybe trying to push Aspin out after several heated debates on transfer budgets and players he wants to bring in. Smurf wont pay the price and Aspin has had a go back.

If that's the case and Aspo leaves, we're stuffed - no manager worth his salt is going to want to take over in those circumstances.

Come on lads/lassies aim your vitriol in the direction of the owner and not the poor bloke that is trying to build a squad while being totally underfunded.

Looking at the striking options apart from Popey who else have we got? Miller a gamble which looks like it has failed, Montano is a forward really? Whitfield he seems to run out of steam after 45 minutes. So he is a impact player who could take advantage of a tiring defence. Lets all hope Dior Angus is the answer to our problem after all he can't do any worse than the rest of them.

Even then we are currently desperate for a good wide player and I doubt that the owner despite his posturing and promise will put his hand in his pocket and stump up the necessary money.

I for one would really like to know which of these players were Aspin's purchases?

I am sure that Neil Aspin knows that only a few yobby heads are responsible for the booing and that his troubles

lie with the owners tight fistedness and none speculation for him being able to bring quality players to the squad.

He had a couple of players recently who he would have brought to the club, but they decided to go elsewhere. Why? Maybe due to finances? Money talks, and so does the clubs owner, but only with empty promises. I suspect that Neil Aspin is sick and fed up with Smurf's miserly ways and that is the reason for him being thinking of walking away.

All speculatuon. Failed loans, 9 wins in 46, worse form in the league over the calendar year, poor substitutions, players played out of position, lowest crowd for 20 years, negative, boring approach , all facts
