We Need To Talk About Norman

Santa

Recommended Posts

Norman seems impervious to any form of criticism or challenge but there's a simple message for him. If we go down, he will lose not only his money but also what little remains of his reputation as a successful business man. At some point, on our present rate of progress, the club will fold and he will walk away into the sunset as a complete and utter failure who couldn't even make a dollar out of a simple business proposition. The name Smurthwaite will go down in history with penny-pinching failure - the man who took a successful League One club into oblivion. History will have the last word and like AFC Wimbledon and others we will live to fight another day.

The club is a joke.

Those that want Aspin out should turn on Norman for not having the bottle to do it.

Those that want Aspin to stay should turn on Norman for not backing him appropriately! Forget this “there are two more weeks of the transfer window left” crap. He should have invested his £2m+ windfall in the summer rather than the paltry 5% reinvestment he actually did.

Those that realise that we are heading for None league need to turn on Norman.

Howjy and the SMurf defence league, you keep sticking your younger so far up his arse you can taste his dinner from last night. You are a lost cause and deserve the club he is delivering you!

You haven’t got a clue what to do but moan behind a keyboard.**** off clueless. My YOUNGER?????WTF????You deserve no club at all potless.

For clarity it’s a typo caused by autocorrect... it should be tongue.

Keep sticking your tongue up his arse.

Hope this helps.

The main problem with Norman is that he actually enjoys owning a football club. He has said as much. He likes going to away games and swanning around the Board Rooms as a club owner. He probably likes going to Chairmen's meetings or turning up at Wembley for big games. He doesn't seem to have grasped that if we get relegated a lot of that will disappear.

He also hasn't fully grasped that the one thing he boasts about more than anything else - his skill as a clever businessman - is going down the tubes. He bought a business in November 2012 which was on a high with no debt and a happy customer base. Look where it is now - that's all your own work, Norman. You have turned a club on the up with a positive future into a laughing stock and you have become one yourself as a result.

If Norman really enjoys the current situation he is barking mad. If he doesn't then he should take the more comfortable route and sell the club. Selling for what he paid for it will mean he has not lost on the deal. Anything that's happened in the meantime is down to his bad decisions and he cannot expect to recoup his supposed "losses" when they are his own fault.

You said you had the money to take us to the Championship, Norman. You said running Vale would be easier than running Stoke Audi. You've said a lot more that has turned out to be utter bull****. The only thing I want you to say now is "I'm off" and the sooner the better.

totally agree except I think he has made more than his stake money and outlay since, at least he is uniting the fan base albeit against him although some will keep blaming the poor managers/players we can only afford to attract

Very well put madam. Any of the fence sitters should read your post then read it again and again until the penny finally drops that we are owned and run by a very dangerous and destructive creature.
